Trumps Predictably Won’t Comply With Subpoenas

Yes, it really is arrogance and stupidity. They think these things can’t\won’t happen to them.“Other people are dying” is what they tell themselves. And so many have found ways to justify why those other people are dying and they won’t, “They’re old, he was fat, she had underlying health issues.” I have zero compassion when one of these clowns dies from Covid. I can only hope their deaths will inspire some of their fans to wake up and get vaccinated.

The other day in WaPo Michael Gerson had an op ed describing these people using “religious exemptions” as an excuse not get vaccinated, aren’t really Christians, but Evangelicals. In his view American Evangelicals have stopped being Christians since their new dogma is all “me, me, me”.

Q: What’s the difference between “ignorance” and “arrogance”?
A: I don’t know and I don’t need to know.

That’s hilarious! They must do anything he says now. I hope he tells them to go jump off the Golden Gate Bridge.

Three of the kids need special assistance in reading, due to the dyslexia. Their dad didn’t get that help back in the day with his dyslexia and that shortfall cost him years just to get an associates degree (took five years). Daughter helped tremendously when he went for his Bachelors years later, with 100 pages of reading and a written three page paper every week for 18 months.

They don’t want their kids to go through that as adults. But with no in-school or remote learning, they’re falling further and further behind.

Every learning disability is different and requires other kinds of support. These kids have gotten nothing for the better part of a year or more. And it’s not that they’re stupid - the 12 year old can disassemble and re-assemble just about any electrical or mechanical device you give him and yes, he will be great in the adult world as some kind of mechanical genius. But he has to be able to read. He has to be able to do the math and have the same basic education everyone deserves. He and his siblings are not getting that now and that will impact how they are able to get around in the world if they ever graduate.

And they’re sincerely held beliefs! Scalito knows himself!

That’s why they had exactly the same objections to rubella, varicella, rabies, hepatitis a and other vaccines they were being forced to receive to enlist.

Another way of looking at it:

What’s the difference between ignorance and apathy?

I don’t know and I don’t care.

Probably more suited to the situation.

Wichita Ks.
The only evidence left in the house was a huge dark stain in the middle of the oak flooring I managed to (mostly) remove by sanding the crap out of it.

We constantly have to remember that what has been on display for the past 5 years …
Is what he has been trained on & practiced everyday of his life for the past 50 years. He was from birth - a psychopath…
Then …He learned how to use litigation & obstruction and delay and not honoring agreements from Roy Cohn… and he did / does constantly.
When for 50+ years … with a stupid grin on his face- he tells you how dishonorable he is …
Believe him!

Oh god! These people never learn do they. At least they’re exterminating themselves. What more could you ask? It must be God’s plan or something.

I do have compassion for even the most obstinate Covid victims. However, while I do think that Covid is natural and not a bioweapon, it is amazing how successfully it exploits human foibles and divisions in society. It is just nonlethal enough for people to come up with all sorts of reasons for denying or ignoring it, thus promoting its own spread.

I give credit to Tish James for doing what Mueller and the SDNY failed to do: confront the Trump family directly where they have legal exposure and/or critical information to provide in matters involving wrongdoing or violations of law.

My wife was a grade school teacher in Seymour. And our two boys are/were LD. What’s going on now is extraordinarily tough. I have nothing but sympathy for parents and teachers, but not so much at all for those who won’t get vaxxed.

The arrogance and stupidity of some of these folks is staggering. 46 years old and gone.

Free at last!

Unvaccinated people are largely of a GOP persuasion. There’s another group that are militant, militia type people that are anti-government, anti-science, possibly prone to violence, and generally a menace to society and those around them in one fashion or another. And of course there’s a big overlap of the two. In the natural world animals that fail to take measures of self preservation, and those the group deem dangerous to others, eventually either die or are driven from the group, whereupon the lack of support kills them also. Evolution at work. Those part of the solution (living correctly) thrive, while those part of the problem (knuckleheads) perish.

I fail to see where the death of anti-vaxxers is a bad thing. At all. Save for the small subset of people where the vaccine itself represents a genuine health hazard, the remainder can go to hell.

Did the Worldometer site miss 574,000 new cases yesterday? They reported 426,051 new cases for yesterday and have updated it a few times since last night. Doesn’t appear to be any more updates forthcoming.

Umm, I would be happy to explain it to him. Hahahaha

The number of ‘Unmask Our Kids’ signs I see, both here in Wisconsin and out in Connecticut, just point out how stupid the general population has become. People prefer to get their medical information from anything BUT a professional medical source. Their choices impact all of us and it’s about time those folks are isolated from the rest of us.

As with all things political, the minority is driving the narrative and the majority has no power.

From the main page…
Just last month GOP activist and Orange Country Deputy DA Kelly Ernby was speaking at an anti-vaccine rally put on by local Turning Point USA chapters in Irvine. “There’s nothing that matters more than our freedoms right now,” she told the small but enthusiastic crowd, “Our government for the people and by the people is not going to exist without action of the people.” In 2020 Ernby had run unsuccessfully for a State Assembly seat as a Republican.

This week Ernby died of COVID19 at age 46.

Very sadly some do not learn.

The Religious Right (Wrong) and the Federalist Society have deep pockets. But when the Navy finally has its ammunition ready, I hope they get it with both barrels.
