Trump Smacked With A Fine And The Prospect Of A Renewed Gag Order

But I definitely prefer to see him in the graybar.

the mere fact that this is happening and it involves a former president… is not just unprecedented, it’s astounding.

It’s American.

Now, “make love not war”… that’s communism.

Good. Then we will see him struggling to accept imprisonment even as he is slowly losing what is left of his rotten mind. I look forward to seeing him dragged out of court kicking and screaming like the insane monster he is… @txlawyer

For the women, anyway.

He’s a long way from prison on any convictions. Even after them, free on bail pending endless appeals.

Much more likely to end up in prison in the near term due to inability to keep his mouth shut.

A very different rendition of The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People. Victorian claptrap. What they call high farce. This guy should fit right in with his crazy caucus.

The cat in the hat is Merman?

Per this article the licensed cat is named Herman.

I wish the judge would tell TFG to take his psychotic rantings out to the street in front of the courthouse, rather than outside his courtroom.

Judge Chutkan would pause the school zone speed limit law pending motions from the speeding offender’s attorneys.

I don’t believe there are any coincidences in a matter like this…I believe that God has ordained and allowed each one of us to be brought here for this specific time.

You sure that was God?

This morning his lawyer is whining about the gag order and sanctions.

Chris Kise starts today’s proceeding by challenging Justice Engoron’s sanctions order against Trump for violating the gag order. From reporter Adam Klasfeld,

He’s still insisting that Trump was referring to Michael Cohen as the “partisan,” not the judge’s clerk.
Kise’s second argument:

Even if Trump were talking about the clerk, Trump is “entitled to comment” on her.

“This violates the First Amendment,” he insists, noting Trump observes the clerk writing notes on the defense arguments.

We’ll see how he performs. Elise Stefanik thinks he’s swell.

I agree the $10K isn’t a big deal, but, the first violation got a $5K fine. The second netted him a $10K fine. I’m gonna make the bold guess that the fines will continue to double, because that’s what this same Judge did, in this same case, with Trump’s discovery tom-foolery: fines doubling each time. You’d be surprised, perhaps, at the exponential growth of fines arranged that way.

The scenario I’m hoping for:

“Okay, Donald. Vurst I keel you and zen I vill keel myself.”

Later in court Melania will plead Not Guilty citing Florida’s Stand Your Ground law. “He juzt vent crazy,” she’ll say, and every juror will find her explanation more than plausible.
