The press needs to get past the OMG stage of reporting on Trump and the GOP. Both are acting like bullies who are constantly pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with, and constantly finding that the boundaries are either very elastic or non-existent. Sociopathic criminal types are not restrained by OMG reporting. In fact, they dig it.
Why not just report that Trump violated a gag order again and was fined again, and his behavior is deteriorating and has has negative implications for his other court cases. Similarly, the GOP just put an insurrectionist in charge of the House, with negative implications for national security and domestic terrorism.
Keep it simple and let the facts speak for themselves.

If Trump pushes his vitriol to the point a judge actually jails him for a gag order violation, I think it’s possibly part of his plan. He has to know whatever facility he’s placed in will be minimum security, he’ll have access to most of life’s necessities, it will be for a very short duration, and he’ll be isolated and secure while there. So he emerges after a few days newly martyred, his Mandela moment. I think going to jail is part of the plan. It’ll energize his base, be a fundraising boon, and absolutely dominate the news for weeks and weeks.
