We were warned: pulling out all stops and apparently there is nothing we can do.
HE WILL STILL LOSE because Democrats will walk through fire to vote.

âAnd he walks off without answering the questionâ

Itâs more like a low opinion, because so many of Trumpâs voters donât know how Social Security and Medicare are funded, and theyâll have a knee-jerk positive response to the idea of eliminating âtaxes.â
Goya Beans have built in inflation, so thatâs good!
Hereâs my question: So letâs imagine the unimaginable and he does win, but the country is in a complete uproar. He calls in the military and throws hundreds of thousands in jail (with covid). He has no agenda, no nothing. The House can start IMMEDIATE impeachment on a host of things - and they will. What happens then?
I know; I was being snarky.
That rumbling you hear is the gathering of Hover-rounds converging on AARP headquarters.
Memo to Nancy - go ahead and sue. Otherwise, you are not doing your job.
And make sure that you call this what it is ⌠a gangster type shakedown.
Unless the Democrats control the Senate? Exactly what happened the first time, only without the Republicans pretending to care about process. A straight up-or-down the moment the articles are received, to dismiss the whole thing.
Other than his deplorable cultists, no person believes Trump. He is a well known liar. This act is void and a political stunt.
So obviously this is a cynical ploy to create headlines, but I think the sugar rush will not last long enough to justify the hangover. First of all, people know the payroll tax funds social security, and seniors really know that. Trump will soon realize he grasped the third rail with both hands on that one. Especially since no one will appreciate a âdefermentâ until January on a tax that can never be repealed by Trump (there is no reality in which Congress will cancel the payroll tax).
Then thereâs the absurdity of dictating to bankrupted states that they pick up 1/4 of the reduced unemployment benefit. Then thereâs also the absurdity of expecting people used to a $600 benefit to be grateful to you for creating an unstable $400 benefit to replace it.
To recap: the most popular program in America (Social Security) will be threatened by a payroll tax cut most workers and business wonât appreciate or find useful, in order to supplement a benefit they wonât be sure theyâll get and wonât like as much as what they have, all while we crash through the worst part of the pandemic, in terms of human life and economic costs. Oh, and landlords and lenders arenât going to take this executive order lying down, either. It sets a horrible precedent for their businesses going forward. Not that renters and students will be that relieved, actually, because itâs pretty clear all this is thing gruel by comparison to the aid they actually need and the help we all need in grappling with this disease.
So Iâd give this about a week before it falls apart. The rocket looked good for a few seconds off the launch pad before things went horribly wrong.
If Trump gets reelected itâs another four years of Hell. Because that kind of turnout would save the Senate R majority, and the House will be neutered for any future impeachments.
The executive order asserts that the money is to be taken from statesâ funds allocated by the CARES Act and the Department of Homeland Securityâs Disaster Relief Fund.
NOAA just increased their Hurricane forecast to up to 24 storms. He is truly playing with fire hereâŚand someone âŚa lot of someones, will get burned
That doesnât mean there arenât still a massive number of âtheyâre all lying assholes in it only for their own powerâ voters out there who might just stay the hell home in exactly the worst states.
Not necessarily. If enough ballots are fucked with and the Russians are in there, turnout may not need to be high. Meh, I guess itâs all moot and it would just be the worst nightmare of our lives. Okay then.
This stunt will unravel by Wednesday.
Those people already support Trump.
Yeah somehow I donât think anyone near him told him that local municipalities and many state governments donât have a rainy day fund, or that it really doesnât look good to keep taking their residentsâ money and not spend it on things like improved services, road repairs, maybe a teeny tiny raise to employees, and other state and local services and programs.
If only Fat Nixon would channel Dick NixonâŚ
AARP knows, and theyâll sue.
Much less than yesterday. I bet the word went out that the asshole was in residence.
