My friend, who I basically told to rot in hell, is a good person. Otherwise we would not be friends. He and his wife have been very kind to us. There is sometimes this inexplicable disconnect. Not all hardcore Trumpers are like the man himself, who has no shred of decency or redeeming qualities. Go figure.

Gonna cop to doing exactly the same thing. Maybe not about actually currently experienced suffering, but I’ve said some bloodthirsty stuff. When Trump does it it’s a bit more shocking to us because we know he’s pathological and he means it. He wants you to suffer if you cross him.

Well, Donnie, I’ve had quite a lot of time to think things over during my quality time alone in my apartment, wondering how long my toilet paper stash is going to last, making plans to use paper towels when that runs out, guessing about how many strips I will need to tear one paper towel into to approximate the functionality of the typical wad of toilet paper, hoping that it will not take ten or fifteen flushes to dispose of. It’s been inconvenient. And when I think of how much longer I am going to have to do this given your loose talk about packed churches on Easter Sunday, which contradicts your previous edict to avoid congregations of ten or more, which at the time I felt was a fairly reasonable and science-based way to slow the spread of Covid-19 infection and reduce the strain on hospitals coping with acute cases, I have sadly come to the conclusion that it would be counter to my own interests to vote for you in November, and therefore I will not be doing so. Sorry man.

The downside of Trump catching the covid is that in all likelihood he’ll survive. He’s that kind of crude boorish stock that’s hard to kill off. His medical intervention will be top notch and include every comfort and therapy available. He’ll live and brag about it. The universe will laugh at us. Just you wait and see. It is known.

Horrifically awful pandemic response and management by Trump, both on substance and style, way more people likely to suffer and die as a result, yet his numbers are going up. Is it that people are literally this stupid and clueless, or they’re just not paying attention to what he says and does and are just rallying around the current leader? I simply don’t get the stupid, it’s so vast and deep.
