After re-election [throws salt over shoulder, shudders] he has no reason to not just appoint acting directors whose names end in “ovich”.
I was going to offer that change, but I didn’t want offend my fellow English majors who were on line ahead of me.
Him winning will be of no surprise to me, despite most current prognostications to the contrary. When it comes to the citizenry of this nation one thing is assured, and that is their ever increasing levels of stupidity and know-nothingness.
It’ll save a lot of money when we just disband all of our government agencies and let the Russkie counterparts run things.
Let alone the English Major who wrote it…
If it has to be, please let it be the Chinese.
When? Your predicate is behind the times.
I’d prefer the Europeans. Much less regimented and controlling if you don’t stick your head out to be noticed.
And with that, then I guess we declare it is all over. Damnation,
So I guess everyone who is in opposition, has worked to do the right things, is part of those polls showing Trump losing are simply stupid and know nothings. All these people on this board who who every single day display a drive to reality are nothing, just empty motes of dust. You have zero expectation of any of those people. Sounds to me like Trump and his people have won the day then.
We haven’t fully disbanded all of them, just the Intel ones so far.
Would depend on what happened in Congress.
The DOJ memo that keeps a President from being indicted only applies to federal indictments. The state of NY could indict him at any time. If we controlled Congress, that would be grounds for impeachment and removal.
Do you honestly believe we’ll get the 10 - 15 R votes needed for this? No snark… I’m 50/50 on that, myself.
To Esper: Make a statement and go now. Don’t let Trump dump you.
Unfortunately Trump only has to garner about 42% of the popular vote to thread the needle on an Electoral College victory. And yes, a great many people opposing Trump have the gray matter of a gnat. There are probably 10% of the populace that could make accurate change for a twenty dollar bill out of a cash drawer on a purchase that came to exactly $10.
Don’t do it.
Resist.
The military has its own plans.
Which is why the notion of him removing Esper the day after the election, like he did with the AG in 2018, is highly alarming.
Like I said - it would depend on what happens in the election to the makeup of Congress. So it would depend on how many GOP there were left and who they were.
No. That would give an extra 3 months for Trump to fuck up DoD like he has almost every other agency. Esper’s not great, but he’s worlds better than whomever would be put in there.
I wrestled with that. I want him to make a loud statement like “yeah we knew about the bounties!” and such. Too much to ask for?
