Trump Defense Sec: Believe Him When He Says He'll Use Military Against Americans

Neither do I, not only because of the problem of inviting vandalism, but also because I see no need to go around town with my opinions plastered all over the place. I find it offensive when other people do that, and I don’t wish to offend them the same way.

I thought the Roberts Court has ruled that military action and torture against American civilians is completely constitutional and a-okay.

Same reason a known security risk and former president was allowed to steal top secret documents that were kept in a hotel, in unsecured locations, and yet the press treated it like it was some extra memos that he had written to staff about how his diet cokes were too warm.

The Joint Chiefs and the Democratic Attorney’s General across the United States should make it clear that military personnel do NOT enjoy qualified immunity in any form if they follow an illegal order from Trump or his SECDEF and apply force to American citizens of any political persuasion. They should make clear that they will take names and pursue criminal investigations and indictments of any and all participants in this “enemy within” round-up nonsense, the minute Trump leaves power or (with God’s grace) drops dead in office.

Interesting, I saw this while at the gym and Fox News said at the bottom of the screen:
“tRump schools Bloomberg reporter on economy.”

I’m actually embarrassed for Fox on that one.

I wrote a paper in college, in the late '90s, about the tendency of words that are used for women to become pejorative over time. I remember using the word, “hussy” as an early example. More recent examples include, “female” and “woman.” The inappropriate use of “female” wasn’t obvious to me then, a significant oversight on the part of 20-year-old me.

Me either. I’m not going to change any minds, so a yard sign would do little except antagonize the people that I need to live near every day.
But I used to, and in 2020 I watched a neighbor pause on his walk and spit into the end of my driveway. That same year, a neighbor’s BLM sign (“In this house we believe…”) was vandalized by other neighbors with a “Women for Trump” sticker. I live in a pretty nice neighborhood full of retirees who were all responsible and important during their working lives.

As for the “in-your-face” stuff (trucks, tshirts, flags, etc.), I’ve come to believe that offending others IS just about the only thing these people stand for.

Yikes! I prefer the Harris/Walz version when he loses. I’m fed up with his bs threats and intimidation tactics.

Brought this up at our dinner conversation. Apparently around the middle school, several boys have covered their binders with Trump 2024 stickers. It’s a threat. It’s a threat that I really can’t complain about, unlike blatant homophobic bullying.
