535 elected officials in government and Musk is the one deciding what should get voted on? Money in politics, what could go wrong?
Just read about Musks opposition to the F-35 fighter jet??!! Let that sink in for a minute.

Good news for science, and the general public:
A study that stoked enthusiasm for the now-disproven idea that the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine can treat COVID-19 has been retracted — more than four-and-a-half years after it was published. The paper, withdrawn because of concerns about the ethical approval for the research, is the second-most-cited retracted paper of any kind. Its withdrawal marks the 28th retraction for co-author microbiologist Didier Raoult, who has since retired.
Lets see… there are a lot of chicharrones here
How much money has the US government given to Tesla?
The US government has given Tesla billions of dollars in subsidies, grants, tax credits, and other assistance, including:
- $465 million loan: In 2010, the Department of Energy loaned Tesla this money to develop a manufacturing facility in Fremont, California and produce all-electric vehicles
- $1.3 billion in tax breaks: Tesla received this for its Nevada “Gigafactory” battery plant
- $2.8 billion in state and federal subsidies: Tesla has received this in the form of grants and tax credits since 2008
- Almost $9 billion in regulatory credits: Tesla has sold these securities since 2018
- $41.9 million in federal contracts: Tesla has received this since 2008, with some of the largest contracts coming from NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Department of Defense
Plus
- United States
Tesla customers may be eligible for a tax credit of up to $7,500 for the purchase of a new, qualified Tesla vehicle. To qualify, the vehicle must be purchased for personal use and primarily used in the U.S. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 extended this credit for vehicles purchased from 2023 to 2032.
Not to mention the tariff on Chinese electric cars.
How many examples of people clinging on past their sell by date do you want? Grassley, Feinstein, McConnell, TCF, Biden, etc etc etc
I don’t know about the others, but Joe Biden has kicked ass from start to finish. There are some exceptions to this idea.
And that’s just for Tesla, Space x and Starlink come to mind.
ETA:
How Tesla and SpaceX benefit from government spending
Over the past 16 years, Musk’s business deals with the government total nearly $20 billion, according to federal contracting data.

Ironic, isn’t it, that the classic enemy of the Left, the Military Industrial Complex, is going to be the entity which saves us.
I’m 55 and pretend I’m in better mental shape than I probably am
I’m 63 and if someone knows wtf they’re doing at 90, my advice is for everyone else to watch, learn, ask questions and STFU about age. You don’t know anything until you get there yourself and start doing it. I know a bunch of 30 somethings who never got their act together.
And that’s just for Tesla, Space Ex and Starlink come to mind.
He got his pork, fuck everyone else.
Lotta hurricane damage in the Carolinas. Even so nut cases in South Carolina’s state government think the state should execute women who seek aboutions.
Aboutions are annoying…
“What about this?, What about that?” So yeah, execution sounds appropriate.
Who can forget Senator Strom Thurmond?
Strom who?
It’s actually kleptokakistocracy.
stealshitocracy
Mango and his oligarch buddies wrote a screed for Vance to tweet trying to blame Dems for a gov’t shutdown as Muskyfinger threatens the MAGAt House with fully funding primaries against them if they vote to pass the CR.
Eisenhower’s farewell speech was prescient and holds up well to the day.
Eisenhower’s farewell speech was prescient and holds up well to the day.
Wasn’t he, though, warning us against that, not exactly that that same Complex might be the thing that ultimately saves Democracy in the end.
Blame dems for the looming shut down? Who has had the majority in both chambers since the election? Why wait until two days to go to a shut down to do yer damn jobs? And then say ya don’t wanna?
As he said the unwarranted influence of the military industrial complex.
the unwarranted
Ah. So when it’s warranted…
