Trump Camp Says Supporters Are ‘Strongly Encouraged’ To Wear Masks At Upcoming Rally

The campaign is only making this concession because the rally is in a location in southern NH close to both MA and ME. Southern NH is an extension of the Boston suburbs.
This is a weird concept, but he is trying to look sane in a place where he can get away with looking sane. This would not fly in FL or TX, but it will in southern NH. It’s the pivot.

The campaign is only asking for masks to be worn to get the press off their back. Republicans don’t do health care and could care less about the health of anyone attending their rallies.

I just read about the “Bruno Mars” concert fiasco. The only thing this administration is good at is caging little kids and making that crime disappear from the news cycle. MSM? Crickets?

Yep. And there is no reason whatsoever to think any large public university will be different.

Donald saw the polls and finally realized he can’t afford to kill off any more of his voters.

Now we know what hypocrisy looks like. :man_facepalming:

But the real question: will rally attendees still have to sign waivers/releases?

Oh Dear Lord you’re probably right.

Even this guy backed down, even gave the non-apology apology.

“After some heartfelt and educational conversations with Jewish leaders in the U.S. and abroad, I can acknowledge the imagery in my recent editorial cartoon … was deeply hurtful to members of a culture who’ve been dealt plenty of hurt throughout history — people to whom I never desired to be hurtful in the illustration of my point,” Dane Hicks wrote on Facebook.

The major university in Texas I retired from is planning to hold classes as if nothing has changed and the president has said that they will do everything necessary to insure that everyone is safe, which is complete and utter bullshit. It is a good way to rid themselves of senior faculty, either through retirement or death from C19, which I suspect is part of the plan.

What is scary is that you can channel the WH spox so perfectly. Is there something that you need to atone for?

For some reason, people seem to think parties are exempt. Two of my neighbors had Fourth of July parties on Saturday. Nary a mask to be seen. No social distancing. Many of these folks were obviously well over 60 years old. I’d have thought they at least would want to be cautious, even if the younger folks have that typical immortality magical thinking going. I’m sure they wear masks to the store, because it my state it’s mandatory. I suppose the people that were protective of their own health simply didn’t attend, like me.
