There is a reason she was a talking head on an almost-nonexistent news channel before getting involved in this.
Again, just like all the others, she didn’t think anything would come of this and any negligence on her part, professional or otherwise, would simply not materialize. She is as guilty as all the rest of not thinking things through to a reality-conclusion.

Do you suppose anyone was surprised by the results of that Kansas Women’s Rights Referendum held in a primary election, in a mid-term year? Or, did the good people who came up with that scheme intend to lose by roughly a two-to-one margin?
For myself, I’m clinging, more-or-less blindly, to the hope that that was just the beginning of this year’s surprises.

Lost in history is that Plame was Deep Undercover Operative focused on Iran’s nuclear program. People in her network died when she was outed just because her husband had shown that his contacts in Niger contradicted the idea that the country had sold Yellow Cake Uranium to Iraq. Another of Dim Son’s lies contested in the lead up to his illegal invasion of a sovereign nation. We’ve forgotten that every frikken day of that maladministration an outrage was perpetrated on this nation. Eight years of a normal Presidency under Obama wiped away enough of peoples memory that a dunce like the dotard could be elected.

Polls show that independents increasingly place the threat to democracy near the top of their concerns. The only thing that will change GOP behavior is a shellacking at the polls in a general election.

Yeah, well, I live in PA. And from what I’m seeing Oz don’t stand a chance. Nobody here likes him. Nobody.
This is a midterm - but the Governor’s office is on the ballot with a real MAGA candidate in Mastriano. The MAGA crowd will show for Mastriano, and I guess Oz will pickup some down-ballot votes that way. But NOBODY is going to the polls to vote for Oz. And stroke or no stroke, Fetterman has a lot of appeal to native Pennsylvanians. It won’t be close. Abortion is on the ballot here in PA when our choice for Governor is Mastriano or Shapiro. The Democrats are motivated. Republicans… not so much.

The GOP is losing young people and normal people. Their response so far has been voter suppression (RedMap anyone?) and doubling down. Do you see any evidence they will change with another defeat instead of declaring election fraud and rousing their base to riot?
