Same here in Missouri. We need to start calling the local media NOW asking how we are supposed to deliver those absentee ballots in person and emphasizing how important it is to us. The more calls they get, the more they will realize that they are onto something.
This is the kind of wedge issue that could turn Independents into lifelong Democrats.

In standard GOP fashion, some goons from Bill Barr’s criminal racket will go out and steal ballot boxes and commit fraud and then present it as evidence of the risk of fraud.
I know that the GOP has been really worried that this is going to affect their voter turnout. Well duh - how many voters over 65 are GOP voters? I’d bet here in Texas a whole big bunch are.

I agree - this issue is truly bipartisan. The GOP likes to vote too.
This is not about politics. It’s about our Constitution being ignored, torn up and spit out like phlegm. The House has a responsibility to act to save our republic.
I think it is important to remember that the ballots are heading from our neighborhoods to the same town. The path should be, where you drop it off, to the post office, to the county election office. While this is a clear attempt to steal the election, a day or two is the most delay we should see for ballots.
Democrats need to keep pushing that we need to get our votes in early. But also we need to get as many people to vote on election day as possible. Don’t give trump any daylight to claim fraud. Beat him on election night, beat him when the mail in ballots are counted.
Now packages and mail from around the country is going to be a mess, and will anger everyone.

Someone noted elsewhere that states which have employed widespread voting by mail have actually reduced the already infinitesimally small instances of fraud. Someone else noted that the USPS handles nearly 1.4 BILLION Christmas cards every year, but the Trumpers claim they can’t handle maybe 50-100 million ballots?

The order extending early voting allows you to drop off your ballot during that period (rather than election day only). It has to go to the early voting clerk’s office.
I called the recorder’s office here in Tucson. They said ballots hit the mail Oct 7th. I should theoretically have mine byt the end of the week since it only need be delivered about 2 miles. If I do not have it by Monday the 13th I’ll head to the recorder’s office and get a blank ballot and fill it out in their presence and hand it back to them, properly sealed and signed.
