All I’m going to say is that the night before the election between Beto and Cruz, all of Beto’s polling, internal and external, said he was going to win. It was eerily like Hillary.
And I know my husband had to vote for Beto 3 times before the Diebold quit registering his vote for Cruz. Good thing my husband pays attention and double and triple checks.
I’m no lawyer either, but my understanding is that 1) some his original testimony was outright false, as opposed to omitted, but 2) under the best of circumstances (i.e. an uncorrupted DoJ), it would be a stretch - though not impossible - to actually go after him, given his recovered and duly filed recollection. (Someone on another thread [sorry, I can’t find it again for attribution] notes than Karl Rove in the Plame investigation had to amend his testimony five times and suffered no repercussions.)

I know I should have some empathy for the poor victimized man but considering his lack of empathy for so many people he has damaged since he’s been in office … I just cannot manage any… Sorry donnie tow scoops, I’m fresh out. Now, for medical reasons my intake will of necessity be limited but nevertheless it will be thoroughly enjoyed.
I have not forgotten that he had a policy …a state policy … to rip kids from their parents (based mostly on skin color) and then throw those kids into cages not fit for the Humane Society canine and feline critters they take care of.
Incarcerated for the crime of being innocent. The kids treated this way will be scarred and they will remember. And I will never forgive this.
Any down turn in Fatso’s health will engender a sip and a cheer. And I will feel no guilt. At All.

I must add that the Family Separation Policy on the Mexican border created and approved by trump is very real to me. There was a Southwest Key Inc facility less than a mile from the darr residence. Innocent children were kept there in conditions not unlike jail. Their crime was “being innocent while brown”. Some of those kids are now lost in the system. Given away to foster families and they have no clue (nor does the government) where their real parents are. Some very young children within a couple months had forgotten what their moms and dads looked like and so if they were reunited they recoiled as from a stranger (I have seen heart breaking video of this). This is a level of cruelty by trump that to me ought to be worthy of not just removal from office but life doing hard time in a max security prison with zero chance of getting out. He is a serial child abuser of the very worst sort. What he has dome (and it’s really bad) in Ukraine pales in comparison to me. And trump’s extortion and bribery in Ukraine is epic.
We live something like 50-55 miles north of the border in Tucson, AZ. I see Border Patrol vehicles in everyday traffic around town. I have seen agents in those cars examine folks in cars around them at stoplights. I tend to give a hard stare back at those agents.
That whole 100-mile thing is a bunch of bullshit. They should have no powers anywhere away from the border. Totally defeats the purpose of having a free country with freedom of movement.
