In the Jan. 7 video filmed in Washington, D.C, Jones claimed he was asked by the White House to lead the march to the Capitol three days prior to the event.

It goes back further than that. It started when Bush recess-appointed John Bolton Ambassador to the UN. in 2005.

From the 110th Congress onward, it has become common for the Senate and House to use certain scheduling practices as a means of precluding the President from making recess appointments.

This is something that both sides actually do. Obama tried to make recess appointments anyway, but the Supreme Court struck them down in 2014. This is why there will never be another recess appointment.

If you’ve ever been underneath almost any kind of warbird, you know how impressive they are. Even with a WWII fighter the damn thing is all engine and you can feel the power. It’s a different animal from other kinds of aircraft. More than once in a late-night YouTube session I’ve watched footage of A-10s attacking ground troops. You hear this weird buzzing and then a huge patch of ground just erupts and it’s a bad day for anyone there.

This asshole, whose real name is closer to Jacob Angeli Chansley, has been arrested. The charges against him so far seem minor. I hope they all go down for felony murder, based on the mob beating a police officer to death with lead pipes.
He is also obviously guilty of hideous appropriation of Native American symbols, and has earned the nick name, Dances with Karens.

Signal supposedly has end-to-end encryption that prevents law enforcement from ever seeing anything, even with a warrant. It’s a public forum in that it’s open to the majority of the world. That’s just my definition.

I am well aware that law enforcement abuses can -and always will- occur, but I think we need checks and balances to enable authorities to act on imminent dangers.
