We’re good at that
Fair point.

now Jr can stick it on the shelf behind him when he does his wise and witty facebook posts for additional patriotic knick knackery
My sister has my father’s flag.
There’s a “copy” of that original Renoir hanging in The Art Institute of Chicago.
Small world. My folks moved up there from downstate where we were all born and raised (including my parents), but the whole family feels more attached there than where we grew up.
BTW, Petoskey also had a decent sized No Kings protest:
I know, sad how delusional the Art Institute is.
This pathetic parade, as compared to the No Kings actions, show that we really need to make fun of this bunch of incompetent and malevolent actors. I liked a tone of lot of the signs, including the one about the pests with T being the luna tick.
Thinking about this while washing the car the other day, I realized (in parallel to that sign and others) he’s really the Lunatic In Chief, or LIC. That’s how I’m going to refer to him from now on.
His Cabinet and similar toadies like Kristi Noem are the LIC Sycophantic Pathetic Total Losers or LIC-SPTLs.
Those further down in the hierarchy like Looney Loomer (is that her name?) are the MAGA Assistant SPTLs, or MAGA ASS SPTLs
They need to be laughed at to their faces.
Video montage of No Kings protestors in the small (population 17,000) town of Easton MD, about 40 miles due East of DC. The video was assembled by the local, online news outlet.
As it happens, I am “visible” but duly anonymous at the 23-24 second mark of the video. The sign that I am holding was one of many provided by the local Democratic club, who ran out of signs eventually.
Here in Charlottesville VA we had a great turnout.
That last one is my sign. Just as I was leaving I gave it to a young Latina who said she just loved it: I let her keep the bamboo fishing pole that I attached to it.
It was soooo hot, but it was truly invigorating to be with so many people who came out and were peaceful and kind, but totally pissed off for the same thing.
And of course there was the lady who brought her emotional support Chicken. AAAAHHHHH CVille!
She’s auditioning for Jeanine Pirro’s former job at Fox News.
Nice!!
At our Denver rally, scheduled from noon to 4 pm MDT, it was a bit toasty—low 90s and bright sunshine. My wife and I were there for the first couple of hours looking around then marching with the rest of the crowd (I’d SWAG a few to several thousand).
When we got a little too warm, we’d go sit in the shade of the tall buildings or trees and cheer for the passersby. Then we’d cycle back in for a while. It appeared that others were doing similarly, and there were volunteers handing out water bottles or granola bars to any who needed them. (We brought our own drinks.)
The only real injuries we saw were to an older (than me) looking fellow who misjudged a curb/center island and fell awkwardly. Several of us were on him immediately and he said he was OK, just a little banged up and bleeding from his scrapes. Others served him some water and tried to move him into the shade while dressing his wounds, so we went on, seeing he was already in good hands.
There were very few police that I saw on our route, mostly for traffic direction and blocking off certain streets. We saw more fire fighters and paramedics and no one seemed to be in any distress that I saw.
As others have reported, spirits were high, with lots of camaraderie and supportive, joyful (but appropriately angry) atmosphere. All races, old and young and everything in between, lots of American (including mine(!), with probably 50/50 flying upside down in distress) and other flags.
A very terrific event and my wife noted that she found another scheduled for later in the afternoon/evening! (We didn’t make that one. )
I didn’t get a picture of the one being carried ahead of us that was labeled as “Putin’s Puppet”!!
LOL I like the sign that said “Hey Trump, no one is paying us to be here, we hate you for free!”
Yes, I saw several like that!!

emotional support Chicken
oh my gosh. I’ve only ever seen knitted emotional support chickens. I had no idea there were people carrying around live ones!!!

I know, sad how delusional the Art Institute is.
They also have copies of Monet’s haystacks and Sunday in the Park With George. Although they did plagiarize the musical.
Nobody listens to me. The National Democrats are all committed to local races in blue states that don’t require actually doing anything to expand the party.
