Great turnout!
And Merci Beaucoup Paris!
San Francisco wins the prize for creativity.
In my small town in MD outside of DC, the turnout was incredible. So comforting to be surrounded by good people, true patriots.
Rick Wilson posted an amazing video of the rally in Tallahassee, FL.
This is funny, except for the fact that it makes our military look pathetic.
What Trump wanted vs. what Trump got…
His favorite Les Miz? I just heard this here maybe 2 days ago.
It’s certainly my wife’s favorite and one of mine. And the guy has no idea of what it’s about? Pathetic.
“Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again…”
I wonder if we’ll ever see a Ceausescu oratorio.
I wonder if he has any idea of what these demonstrations forebode.
I’m thinking of the witches’ prophecy in Macbeth.
Here’s more. From Steve Beschloss…
My Love Is Stronger
Watch the video!
Coverage from The Daily Beast:
While television cameras at the event were largely trained on the soldiers, tanks, aircraft, and other military vehicles as they made their way down Constitution Avenue, footage posted to social media shows empty bleachers, sparse crowds, and near-silence owing to the lack of loudspeakers along the parade route. A New York Times reporter in attendance said of the crowds, “The energy level at the military parade here is a bit desultory. The crowds are calm and light, a bit sapped after waiting in the oppressive D.C. humidity for hours to make it to this point.”
Article here:
Hey, Republicans think “Born in the USA” is a full-throated paean of American patriotism. They’ve never been big on actually, ya know, listening to the lyrics. Like the way they listen to their leaders: Just pick out the tasty chunks that they like and disregard everything else. Anybody remember Sarah Palin’s “word salad”?
Sounds like the good old days.
I finally watched a bit of the video. GODDAMN, I’ve never been THAT drunk before—including the time I drank the equivalent of 15 12 ounce bottles of beer and puked in a urinal at the establishment about 2/3 of the way through my binge!?!
Though, TBF, it appears she’s got someone else’s horse teeth going on and that can’t be simple to operate.
Trump is a Faux-King Joke
says it all!
Well, OK, but Steve Bannon’s head lice, body lice, crab lice and scabies don’t count.
One of my neighbors had the parasite sign up in the fall.
Compilation video of protests across the country (with dramatic music)…
I read somewhere that no authoritarian regime has survived a movement that had more than 3.5% of the people in the streets protesting. Corvallis sets the bar.
We had about 7k in Santa Rosa CA yesterday. About 4%. Lots of happy people. Lots of smiles, jokes.
I’m an American literature guy, so I liked this sign especially: “Two paths diverged in a wood. America chose the psychopath.”
Charlevoix is where my family lived in 1965. My brother was born there, before they moved east and I was born.
Hey, remember, this is a man who has an original Renoir!
How dare you question his art creds?
This is what happens when you spend your money at LiquorBarn instead of the dentist.
