Corvallis OR had possibly 3-5K turnout, packed for 4+ blocks either side.
If 5k, that is about 8% of population.

Yes ! this is what makes me proud.

Does anyone know the total number of participants? Or an estimate?

These and other pictures and the stories of the protests and the vibe here lifted my spirits like nothing since January.

Thanks to all who took part in cities and towns big and small, in the rain and the heat, with emotion and concern for what is happening in and to our country, and with determination to bring about change.

Resist and Persevere.

In Republican East Tennessee, 7,000 reported at a NO KINGS DAY in Knoxville, TN, a very large crowd in Knoxville. The crowd was much larger than the Hands Off protests. In smaller towns 45 minutes from Knoxville - Maryville, Sevierville, Kingston there were also protests.

I have been reading about the No Kings protests in Missouri. Terrific turn outs across the state. Totally peaceful. The governor is upset. He called out the national guard, but they had nothing to do. These protests have been good for the state. If Democrats follow up, they are ignored by Republicans at their peril. My guess is Democrats won’t take advantage of the no kings success in any meaningful way in Red States like Missouri. Pity.

I’ve shared a photo earlier of the Owensboro, KY protest. Here is a video of the crowd. It’s in a R+29 county.

Trump should note that in exactly one month (July 14th) the French people will celebrate Bastille Day which in 1789 marked the dramatic start of the French Revolution which culminated a few years later (1793) with the trial and execution of the French King Louis XVI. The three crimes which Louis was accused of and later found guilty were: 1) Conspiring with foreign powers. (ala 'Russia, if you are listening?..!"). 2) Counter Revolutionary intrigues (ala abuse of the pardon power) and 3) Acts of Tyrany - Louis had his troups open fire on the people of Paris. (ala “when the looting begins the shooting begins”).

And the way that this happened was not through a normal court of law. The ‘elected deputies’ decided to call a constitutional convention (which our constitution permits as well) and once the convention was gaveled, they decided to put the King on trial and then execute him. The trial was held and the sentence was carried out. There was no allowance for endless delay or endless appeal or intervention by a supreme court. It’s decision was final and quite dramatic.

So, Trump should note that being a King is not always a good thing. It would be bad for our country but it could be really bad for him too.

From a man who proclaims Les Mis as his favorite musical, that he has seen many times, he obviously has no idea what any of it is about.

His favorite song?
I’m sure he has no idea about the lyrics - or what they’re saying.

Pretty much exceeded anything I expected. Amazing really. This is how you build the box to put them in.

Now multiply it by 10M losing health insurance and/or jobs.

The kkkristofascists and oligarchy are too stupid and avaricious to take a hint, will probably read it as cause to double-down or love bomb (and yes, they are equally bad, and if not the latter is more dangerous), so brace yourselves.

hold. the. door.

Pretty much my feel for the crowd. No energy. They all look bored.

Though rock music blared on TV, the parade itself was eerily quiet. One video posted on X shows tanks squeaking past nearly silent crowds, sounding like a grocery cart in need of grease.

Someone should publish the lyrics in Golf Magazine. He might actually read them.

He’ll claim they were changed. That’s not what they were when he first saw it! How dare they!

Because he knows the lyrics better than anyone. Even the composers.

~10,000,000 : ~10,000

Rough numbers, but close enough to show how badly Trump and Trumpism just took a glorious beating today!
