Something to remember about politics here in Texas, the true power is the Lt Governor and then the Speaker of the House. They decide which bills come to the floor for a vote and set the agenda. The Governor is just a nominal office, he can sign bills on his desk or not but has no control over what comes his way. So this dipshit is the true power here and all too typical of Texas politicians. I live in Austin and have to put up with it firsthand.

Amy Walter of the Cook Political Report said on Colbert last night that a sitting President’s final approval rating almost always tracks his vote percentage in the general. In my state of Florida Trump’s approval rating is 47% which seems to be tracking the latest Florida state polling data.

This is extremely dangerous rhetoric. This is laying the groundwork for the crazies to lash out when the result doesn’t go their way, The plot against Gov. Whitmer and the killing of protestors in Kenosha were not an aberration. They were just ahead of the curve. When they lose Texas, all of the preppers and militias will march around with their toy soldier outfits on and their guns with the safeties off. Somebody will die.
