It’s why Trump is so upset. He has all the evidence of millions of illegal votes and fraud.
Unfortunately, they were planted by Putin on his behalf, so it’s not helpful to his case.

I’d bet that IT is populated more by progressives and middle-of-the-roaders. It’s the Conservatives who don’t understand coding or networks or anything related to that. And what they don’t understand is clearly something to hate and to be fearful about.
They are running around like scared rabbits regarding the election.

See, it’s all about the venue. Truth and falsity don’t matter much any more in politics. They don’t matter at all on the wingnut websites or the echo chamber airwaves. But they sure as hell matter in a courtroom, the way a claim that you could hit big-league pitching doesn’t matter when you’re drinking beer with your buddies but matters if you’re at a pro tryout and you either prove it or go home.

I was just thinking about what weak tea it was to say “we have not reported as true”. The reason you watch what you assume to be “news” is because you assume that you will be told the truth, or will be told that the information is not verified.

I thought that Fox News-Wall Street Journal, OANN and Newsmax-Sportsmax-Weathermax were conservative outlets and that they could peddle turds and free-form sh*t straight from Skanky Turdface, First Lady Iwanka and Cuck Kushner’s bowels to christian extremists and racist white nationalist Republicans with impunity.

I know nothing about civil law and suits but it seems like they are admitting NOW that they were lying earlier. As @occamscoin said above, let’s hope the court says no backsies. I also hope they don’t accept a settlement and drag this through the courts to demonstrate they are lying scum.

This is certainly a lesson to keep in mind. While politicians, as public figures, may not have an ability to sue these predatory “news” organizations, private individuals and corporations certainly can and should, whenever possible. It may be the best way to hold them accountable. I’m still a bit shocked to see them pedal backwards so fast and furiously.
