Mentioned yesterday how we here in Houston gave a a recent glance back at Hurricane Harvey-- five years ago last month. One of our clients, whose first responders were active in getting to their constituency via boat, mostly-- were setting up a press conference, reflecting on the events and thanking those individuals and departments who had performed admirably during a catastrophic storm.
One of the tasks I assisted on-- was redacting audio recordings of 9-1-1 calls that occurred as the storm was ongoing-- for use during the presser. Doing so brought back a rush of memories having been in the midst of it all when it happened.
One thing to look back on an event like that in the rearview mirror. Another-- realizing full-well there are thousands of people who may still be in dire circumstances-- with either little chance-- or no capability of reaching out to get the help they need.

Mastriano is not a smart person - he is a bully, a brash, outspoken, argumentive, obnoxious, abrasive strident one … but simply not insightful & not adept at strategic thinking.
Mastriano is not a deep thinker … he is aggressively pedestrian in his approach to issues and is simply not capable of innovative thinking.
So … how does Mastriano address the fact that through his failure to appeal to a sufficient portion of the population he is losing by a wide margin?
