There is no doubt the fraudulent Arizona “recount” will declare the loser Trump the victor. It’s a clear sham, but my fear isn’t it will change the election. Rather, it sets the stage for more right wing violence and another attempted coup d’etat.

They will probably claim to find more Trump votes, but their whole process is illegitimate, and it needs to be ruled null and void by a court, or else by a process of recalling Arizona state senators who voted to do it, or by suing the people who brought in an out-of-state conspiracy group to run the “audit.”

As has been stated by TPM commenters far more intelligent than I am: Isn’t it interesting that all these people focus on is that one bubble on the ballot marked “President”? What happens to all those other candidates on the supposedly invalid ballots?

I’m going to take a guess that our current courts, as shitty as they are, will not take the completely farcical “recount” methodology of a bunch of chucklefucks as as reason to overturn an election.
If, for no other reason than, well, they had like 60 chances and passed on all of them.

I have no idea, but the Arizona Legislature has given this “audit” their blessing. Why? Who the fuck knows, but there are an awful lot of GQPers out there who expect this audit to reverse the outcome of the 2020 election. Yes, i know they are that stupid, but how this entire freak show was blessed by the AZ legislature is beyond me. What point will it serve, other than, as @pluckyinky has stated, make people more violent. Is that what this is all about? To add fuel to the insurrection? Any reversal of the outcome is unconstitutional. Therefore, the only plausible reason to allow this carnival to proceed is to provide fuel to the Big Lie. They are manufacturing their own evidence that will say exactly what they want it to say. Any contrarians to that POV are the enemy.

When I think about the original re-counts back in November and December and how the GQP screamed and bellyached and yelled and tantrumed their ways into the various counting sites and then repeated the process because they weren’t allowed to be close enough to the action and NOW with this audit there are no Dems in the building or anywhere near the re-count sites, right there should be disqualifying from a legal perspective.

Having been added down, added up, added across - and the whole process repeated several times, it is unlikely that any material discrepancy exists in the data … so if some “amazing” new set of results emerge, there is a high degree of probability that it was “produced” via some unique, unethical and illegitimate method of analysis … in which case, it would seem that the stakes have been raised to the criminal fraud level - and at this point … lets hope that the prosecutors swing for the fences !

Getting people that think they are always right to think they are always right is pretty easy really, even when what they think does not make any sense.
Somehow they will get to the Supreme Court, and they will overturn the election somehow 6-3 and install Trump as President, oh, and put whatever was running in Georgia as the Senators.
Somehow. And the Democrats had best have some kind of plan for dealing with that. No winging it. Doesn’t the military have plans for all kinds of contingencies that aren’t ever going to happen, like Canada and Mexico invading us, or Great Britain invading France or some such, along with other more likely occurrences?
Be prepared, even if it’s just ready with a place to put these idiots when things go south for their restoration of trump.
