How Ken Paxton Went From Teflon Ken To Being Impeached By His Own Party

I get that sense. The thing I am really curious about is his wife. I cannot see how this does not get her entangled in it as well.

Angela Paxton also got the key endorsement of Senate kingmaker Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.

“Angela Paxton has been a friend for years,” he said in 2018. “I can tell you this: Everyone who knows her agrees that she’s a dynamic conservative leader and a person of integrity deeply rooted in her Christian faith.”

Angela Paxton has a lot of power in this moment, but to use it, she’ll have to find a way to stand with her husband, demonstrate her loyalty to Patrick, act ethically in the eyes of voters and keep her name out of the proceedings.

Sounds like a lot of baggage with it getting even heavier as things become known. 50/50 she is as dirty as he is.

dump has to defend Paxton because of his very own exposure to the legal system.

Notice too how somehow the just reelected Paxton getting impeached is somehow “election interference.” everything is always about dump, always.

I was just about to note the same thing. It’s his mantra. He’ll be howling “ELECTION INTERFERENCE” when E. Jean Carroll takes him to the cleaners - again.

The Christians seem to feel the need to show they are the top dogs since they resent the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence getting so much publicity. The Sisters have contributed a lot of money to numerous groups over the decades.

Dan Patrick the one in Texas and not the sports commentator by the same name, is probably more corrupt than is Paxton

Been doing that for a whole lotta time now.

In other news Chuck Todd asks the question “is the supreme court really getting more partisan?”

I can’t wait for his equivocations on this!

ETA: “The perception in this case, that the court is too conservative, may prove to be right.” Threading the needle there!

Clearly there must be something more at play in this case. I do not know what that might be. Maybe just someone else with more power or better connections wants that job.

Pardon me for speaking out of turn but putting ketchup on eggs is incredibly disgusting.

OT—because there’s not thread on it yet—

Biden and McQarthy have reached an agreement in principle to raise the debt ceiling.

From what I’ve heard and read, Biden gave up very little, and Qevin has egg on his face again.

I wonder who’s going to get the $3-million they bilked out of taxpayers now.

Yeah, that’s what all these miscreants claim. Just once, I’d like to hear one of these repulsives say that they are “deeply rooted in Rosicrucianism.” Good for a chuckle if not just as deeply ridiculous.

Maybe she’ll do the Tammy Wynette thing. It is Texas. She claims to be a Christian. If she wears overbearingly loud make up, I say she sticks with him.
