When the primary gets rolling it will be his fellow GOP’ers slinging the mud at him. They’ll be the ones dragging out his Florida bullshit ( letting COVID run free and Slapping down Disney etc ) so Ron’s gonna have a tough time blaming the Libs or the Liberal Media. They’re going to roll this guy…and if Trump’s in the nicknames and lies will bury him deep.

More focused is what makes him potentially more dangerous. His “Don’t Say Gay” agenda has stuck, he managed to push through his private election police, and he’s managed to avoid any serious blowback (so far) from his political stunts like the migrant plane flights.
He’s still learning the ropes as an amateur dictator-in-training, so I think we shouldn’t dismiss him that easily.

Nobody is winning the GOP presidential primary on the basis of sound public health policy and deference to big media companies. DeSantis has properly assessed what policies tickle the testes of Republican primary voters and who he should be punching on their behalf. He just can’t sell it convincingly. It’s like sending a rando fifth-grader out on stage to read Hamlet when there are a bunch of more or less gifted actors the audience gets to choose from.

Yeah, the squeaky voice doesn’t exactly scream Manly Dictator Man. Also he’s short. If he ends up on a debate stage with Biden that’s not going to help. What’s going to help unfortunately, is the age contrast. DeSantis is almost half Biden’s age.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I can empathize with you a little. We lost my brother-in-law on Dec 10, 29 days after he was diagnosed with a rare, rapidly metastasizing cancer. We’re still reeling and trying to get through the days and nights. Like you, we’re OK. Sending you hugs and hoping that sleeping well again is in the near future for you. Peace.
