Every male in my family has served except me. I had polio so failed the draft physical in 1971. Mrs darr is a Navy vet. Her younger brother is career Army. We observe this day as a time of quiet reflection and not a party and no “happy Mem Day” bullshit from idiot trump.

I would tell the jury that if Cohen really was such a chronic liar then the defense ought to have been able to present an endless string of witnesses to testify to that.
Instead, the defense was able to present only one… and he got caught lying on the stand.

Oh, I’m not at all surprised that the Libertarians let him. Most of the Libertarians I’ve directly encountered have had at least a bit of the prankster in them.
I also think I understand why TFG himself wanted to do it. He thinks he can sell anything to anyone by sheer force of bafflegab. Also, he is completely transactional himself, never a hint of principle other than his own sad little self, and so he figured that if he just loaded up goodies to promise, that would seal the deal.
What I cannot figure out is why his staff let him do it. I mean, it seems so obvious that this was never not going to blow up spectacularly.
