Here’s What Pence’s Trump Ireland Stay Would Look Like In The US | Talking Points Memo

Has anyone pointed out that, in terms of security, the US does have an embassy in Dublin, which is where any normal VP who wasn’t trying to financially benefit Trump would stay.

Fact: If Trump were a Democrat, this would be all the Rightwing Noise Machine would be talking about today. And conservatives wouldn’t just be outraged at Trump for fleecing taxpayers like this, but would be mocking Trump because REAL billionaires don’t need to shill their own products for quick cash.

But sadly, to succeed in popular media you have to be a conformist who’s faking it yourself, so we don’t have anyone who can call out Trump as the total fraud he is. I mean, if we go after the rich people who pretend they’re experts on everything because they got lucky, next it might be the people who pretend they’re experts because they were hired to spew conformist wisdom on TV. Chuck Todd, I’m looking at you.

Here’s a thought, he could stay, for free, at the US Embassy in Dublin. It’s right there in the park and central to everything. Pshh might be women to whom he is not related in the building. Ick cooties.

It’s not the dollars/euros that counts, it’s the “thought”.

Remember, there’s a million other places in D.C. William Barr could’ve held his Christmas party at, too.

Norfolk features a military shipyard, proximity to Virginia Beach, and a lovely waterfront.

A waterfront which is increasingly subject to flooding, which of course has nothing, nothing, NOTHING to do with global warming.

They were able to fit the V.P.’s “footprint” into the tRump resort because nobody is staying there. Hence, plenty of rooms available.

Is this the place where tRump wanted to meet with Varadkar but was told Dublin?

Yes, thank you. I couldn’t recall if it was “don’t touch me” or “leave me alone.”

By road, Doonbeg is 170 miles from Dublin, about a 3 hour trip. Or 1hr 45m if they use a car with Dublin registration plates.

So she knows Donald’s an asshole and hates that Pence is associated with him?

Seriously - how could she not? She’s religious and apparently not blind, or deaf.

Unpleasant thought.

And there was original sins and venial sins and mortal sins by the score
So I tied barbed wire around my underpants and flagellated myself on the floor
Then I dreamt I was in the confessional box and the auld Bishop said to me;
‘Any impure thoughts, my child?’
Sure the fookin’ barbed wire was killin’ me!

It’s 3 hours and 8 minutes by car between Doonbeg and Dublin. It’s only 3 hours and 1 minute by car between San Francisco and Fresno. Next time Pence accompanies Trump to San Francisco, I can recommend the accommodations at La Quinta Inn in Fresno. There are walk-in medical clinics on almost every block in the area, and you can make yourself a waffle at the continental breakfast.

Pay Donald enough and he’ll keep you on the ticket. That’s what Donald wants Pence to believe.

Until he dumps him.

I saw what you did there.

Franken asks his guest if her thinking was “you just helped make Trump president,” or something else. I think the guest declined to speculate. But yeah, as @tena notes, there is plenty of reason for people across the spectrum to hate Trump. He’s absolutely vile.

Been out there. Basically sheep, rocks and some great traditional music not far away.

Don’t you add on personal vacations at your own expense?

And there’s this:

The vice president also does not attend events that serve alcohol
