Very Very glad to see these investigations moving forward.
Word of caution…nabbing a bunch of top national Rs, some top state Rs, and even Chump would be great…but those folks will be martyr-ized. The more direct and near-term action we have available is to whip these few guilty Rs and the known bad-actors into a complete shaming, nationwide of the R party.
You don’t need facts and guilty pleas to smear the entire R party, and to cast this election as a fight for the soul of the nation by the Ds as the real party of Law contrasted by the Criminal Org that is the R party. We can set the debate. There isn’t an R anywhere, with clean hands or dirty, that can address these claims. They can’t be allowed to just scream about Biden and Inflation until November, we can put a cork in them and rebroadcast the video of them running from mics or shitting themselves.

I found out during my 44 years as a SW engineer that a lot of people are pretty casual about computer “hygiene” until they get an actual out of memory/storage warning. And if that phone was acquired in the last decade, it could have a LOT of memory AND storage.

Lying, thieving, criminal Rs broke every law and their oaths, and many are still collecting govt. paychecks. Tried to overturn a fair election. Tried to topple our govt.
I LOVE how the fake electors scheme has the chance to scramble the R hierarchy in those swing states. How many other state’s top Rs would have immediately dropped their pants and grabbed ankles as these did? Well who knows, smear 'em with it anyways. No need to wait!!!

I think the FBI likes raiding homes. Even if they have no hope of finding anything because they let the criminals skate for 1.5 yrs (when they’re Republicans), they still go about their tasks with a gusto that makes me chuckle.

In addition, the unlocked phone has direct access to all of the history and backups stored in the cloud, plus data transferred from previous phones. So, for example, my current phone’s photo gallery has pix back to 2014…

Yes. A few months ago, shortly after my sister died, I bought a new phone and went through the old one to see what things I wanted to dump before setting up the new one.
I discovered in my 2Terabytes of iCloud storage I had text messages between her and me dating back to 2017 – sisterly chats, exchanges of pix of grandchildren, links to Randy Rainbow videos trashing tfg and his ilk, and so forth. I found it comforting to be able to go through those messages and remember conversations we’d had before she fell ill (because of the pandemic I couldn’t go to see her in the months before she passed). I just set the new phone next to the old one and let everything transfer over to the new, because it helps to be able right now to look at those things and replace some sadness with fond memories.
I dumped less significant messages for my own ease in managing my files, but I’m pretty sure anyone who would want to could easily access my backups. Lucky for me, I haven’t been doing any crimes, so they’d be welcome to comb through the detritus of my daily life. But if I had been trying to help stage a coup, I’d be mighty nervous about that.
I take a certain sadistic comfort in knowing that there are a fair number of people who are not having a pleasant day trying to think of what might be in The Cloud. It’s about time. And my sister would love to know it’s happening.
