Last summer every time I put on my computer I saw a story about how hot it was in London. That was supposed to indicate that predictions of Climate Change were true. It is 72 degrees mid-afternoon today. Weather is not climate I keep reminding myself.

The Pentagon looks cooler, in my opinion.

I know it well. Stayed in one of the rooms there back in the 80s when I was with the BLM. I knew the first director, (sextant, chief game keeper), Al Romspert very well. I believe he died a few years back. We were grad students together any Cal State Fullerton. Fascinating place that old Doc Springer made out on the edge of a salt pan to give Jesus to drunks that he Shanghaied from the Las Vegas tenderloin district’s streets.

… Which will now be dominated by at least two ongoing trials, fraud in NY, Florida charges, plus appeal of his sexual assault case.

… And two more likely trials to come, J6 and Georgia.

Frankly, we should give Machiavelli points to Merrick for timing. Convictions aren’t going to change a single vote, but Trump being preoccupied by and obsessed with the Witch Hunt during primary season opens up opportunities for never-trumpers like Chris Christie to make a play for support from people who are just bored with the endless litany of charges and Trump making speeches about the stolen election.

If this was all already done and dusted, it would be old news and trump would be freed up for his revenge mission.

McCain’s campaign got taken over by Manafort and Russian adjacents, and the same crew were running Chump’s campaign, openly, from Day 1.

That’s right, Republicans are reportedly in disarray. That can only mean one thing…

Just as likely, some Trump judges will agree with the defense that we’re too close to an election to take the GOP candidate to trial. Fingers crossed.

Nothing Smith or Georgia or New York does is going to deter Trump’s path to the nomination. Nor will any of it adversely affect his electoral prospects. If anything the more indictments and charges that are piled on the more promising his shot at being reelected are. This entire situation is counterintuitive to any political paradigm in the U.S. from the past.

Gary Hart gets caught with a girl in his lap. He’s toast. Edmund Muskie sheds a tear on the back of a truck giving a speech. He’s done. Dukakis looks silly sitting in a tank. Goodbye.

Trump has accumulated a hundred mistakes, stupid acts, statements and outright crimes that any one of which would have sunk a Presidential candidacy in ANY race in the past (well, except for Trump’s runs in 2016 and 2020). But none of it matters. It’s Biden vs Trump in 2024. And Trump is very much a viable, legitimate threat to win. So, all this talk about crimes and trials and prison means nothing.

I will never forgive Dumbya and THE DICK for lying us into that illegal war. And I also will never forgive how the Corporate Controlled Conservative Press led by the liars at the New York Times beat the drum for war led by Judith Miller. Fred Hiatt was another liar who did the same thing at The Washington Post. The CCCP endlessly kissed Dumbya’s ass until Katrina.

I think they do a good job as well. However, sometimes I think they do a little too well at making the complicated seem simple. Easy to do when you’re just commentating to an eager audience, trickier when you have to prove your case in court beyond reasonable doubt to a jury.

Does the logistic map bifurcation diagram have specific meaning here, or is it merely symbolic of a branching thingy where shit eventually gets wild?

Well SHS was snubbed, and then replaced by Trump. A woman scorned and all that.

My parents spent several weeks every year at Zzyzx and a Camp Paradise at the California Federation of Mineral Societies’ seminars. Dad was a self-taught geologist/lapidarist. He taught lapidary techniques. Mom taught wire-wrapping and learned faceting there.

I have her faceting equipment. I intend to go there to learn faceting myself…and I need to do it pretty soon. It’s just a long damned trip from Ohio.

Hillary using Uranium One funding out of an obscure outpost in Benghazi to pay for bioweapons development in Wuhan has been, is, and always will be original contributions, not some machine hallucinations.

The attack didn’t start on Jan. 6, and the crime scene extends far beyond the Capitol.

How many active fronts are we dealing with right now…? The chickens are finally coming home to roost starting with the low level perps at the Capitol on 1/6 but expanding to the states and other complicit operators in several federal agencies. The Rudy’s and Lins, oathkeepers and derps in the HOR and Senate may have to face the music soon enough…the threats to our future are as real as ever and our friends in the MSM will continue to see that it remains so.

I’m more than a little disappointed that “committing insurrection against the United States” doesn’t appear to be on the list, as conviction would bar that former guy from ever holding elective office again … unless cleared by 2/3 of each house of Congress. But I’m guessing Mr Smith knows the law better than I do.
