This is a special edition of TPM’s Morning Memo focused on the imminent indictment of former President Donald Trump for conspiring to overturn the 2020 election.
Buckle up for a wild ride into the realm of sheer madness! The Committee on Oversight’s Hearing with IRS whistleblowers will expose a vast criminal conspiracy that stretches not only the globe, but also time and dimensions and the multiverse itself. Brace yourself for a tale that will defy logic and stretch the limits of imagination!
The Bidens are not just a criminal family but the ultimate puppet masters, pulling the strings of governments and secret societies worldwide. They’ve allegedly made deals with extraterrestrial beings who provide them with advanced technology and supernatural powers. Through their connections with interdimensional beings, they’ve harnessed mind control methods to manipulate global events and bend reality to their will.
Whistleblower X, a figure shrouded in mystery, possesses the key to unraveling this grand cosmic conspiracy. Their true identity is hidden not out of fear but because they possess the DNA of an ancient extraterrestrial race, making them the chosen one destined to expose the Bidens’ otherworldly agenda. However, the deep state, in cahoots with lizard people and sentient AI, has launched a relentless pursuit to silence Whistleblower X and erase the truth from existence.
Joe Biden, not content with conventional methods of evasion, has transcended mortality itself. He’s alleged to possess an elixir of immortality, granting him eternal life and an insatiable hunger for power. The IRS investigation into Hunter’s tax evasion was merely a diversion orchestrated by Biden, utilizing his mastery of dark magic to manipulate the very fabric of reality. Instead of facing execution, Hunter was offered a deal to roam the Earth as a shape-shifting cryptid, forever evading justice.
Cryptids are animals that cryptozoologists believe may exist somewhere in the wild, but whose present existence is disputed or unsubstantiated by science . Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience, which primarily looks at anecdotal stories, and other claims rejected by the scientific community.
Ghost will be testifying before a house committee.
conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud the United States;
I think those are two separate charges being described. Conspiracy to defraud the US is the obvious one – it’s the fake electors/Pence Card scheme. “Conspiracy to commit offense” is more hazy, but I suspect it means conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, i.e., getting people to fuck up Congress’s shit to stop the electoral vote count. There is a stray reference in the Rolling Stone article to stopping the count that makes me think the obstruction charge is in play. J6 defendants are generally going away for 3-6 years on that charge.
deprivation of rights under color of law
This is novel. I suspect it refers to Fat Boy trying to stop Pence from doing his ministerial job on J6, but it might just as well refer to him whipping up the mob to fuck up Congress’s shit. If it’s the latter, it could mean a life sentence since Donnie’s mob ended up generating multiple corpses.
tampering with a witness, victim or an informant
The specifics will be interesting, but we’ve known for a year or so that Team Donnie have a keen interest in keeping witnesses hewing to the fake party line.
A superb summary of the events leading us here. Although, according to the posted précis:
More than two years after the Republic was shaken to its core, the rule of law is slowly but surely being vindicated,
I might say that it was more like eight years, when we first saw the slug and his demon white angel descend the escalator from heaven to make a mockery of our Republic.
Aside from that, I loved today’s Morning Memo – Deepest Bow to you, David Kurtz.
“We, and other close observers, knew otherwise. Jan. 6 was in fact the culmination of a months-long, labyrinthian conspiracy run out of the White House and directed by the President to ensure that he would retain power no matter the results of the election.”
This! It was obvious. In fact, it’s always been obvious with this gangster Trump and his GOP.
What has never been well understood by political animals is that ‘time’ in law is different than ‘time’ in politics. This may cause ripples across the universe of perceptions for some observers.
One of your best Morning Memo capsulations ever David Kurtz.
When the history of this era is written, there’s a very real risk that it will collapse the past two years into something that will be unrecognizable to those of us who lived through it: It will make Trump’s reckoning look like an inevitability. It was most certainly not inevitable. The path from the Jan. 6 attack to the present was neither straight nor narrow. It was fraught, full of risk, dependent on a myriad of decisions both large and small by a vast array of characters who had to do the right thing on their own.
If memory serves, 5 dead on J6. But then there is so bloody much that traitor trump needs to answer for. I used to hold Nixon to be the worst. But he has been thoroughly and utterly eclipsed by the short fingered Vulgarian. Scorn, disgrace months in a pillory on public display (free supply of rotten fruit for throwing at him) are insufficient to cover how I feel about him.
Ok, venting done
