I saw another favorite lady legal eagle analyst, Barbara McQuade, from Michigan, on MSNBC yesterday. She looked exhausted after reviewing everything that was being covered on the indictment. I really like Joyce Vance, too. And Jill Wine-Banks, a prosecutor from the Watergate Watergate Hearings, too (the Brooch Lady.)

Can you clarify what you mean with the Pence Card term? Not sure what ‘Card’ signifies. And I am hoping what you mean by always tacking it on in addition to ‘fake electors’ is there is a separate mechanism, a simple and direct felony of the attempt to coerce Pence. Yes, the fake electors scheme involved Pence as a key component…but that wasn’t the only thing he was being pressured on. Any way that he could delay or cast doubt or call a halt was going to be used to employ a different contingency. Some contingencies might have been based on how the dominoes fell…if Pence was present or not then x or y would happen. He was aware of it apparently, when he told the SS he wasn’t going to get in a vehicle THEY were driving.
I can’t find it right now, but a lot of the recent reporting has started using the ‘campaign to pressure Pence’ or Hershman was telling Patsy Baloney to stay out during the attempt to “coerce” Pence.

I sincerely hope so. Similar charges to Republican apparatchiks in the other states where this attempt at rejiggering the election results occurred should slow down the fascist train. It is past time that the Republican party accepts democratic elections and results. Their ability to cheat and rig the results has gotten completely out of hand and is due for a reset.

We’ll never know where we’d be if scientists had communicated more clearly and better leaders had been elected, but my personal pessimistic view is that it wouldn’t have made much of a difference.
The root cause of climate change isn’t fossil fuel use per se, it’s the massive spike in human population growth over the last 200 years using those fuels. The spike was a result of modern medicine and the industrial revolution.
We could have put our foot on the brake in the 1980’s by everyone on the planet agreeing to have just one child, but that was never going to happen. No amount of better communication by scientists or electing better leaders would have controlled the population growth.

Can you imagine where we would be if Garland had appointed Smith as special counsel a year ago to look into the attempted coup? It was obvious to anyone paying attention in the summer before the election that Trump was planning to claim victory even if he lost. In the days after the attack, while the media was telling us that this was a one-off, it was obvious that Trump had orchestrated and encouraged the attack. The second Garland was appointed, he should have already suspected that this is where his DOJ should focus.
Instead, he wasted a year investigating the little fish, letting the J6 do the hard work of pulling at the threads of the conspiracy. Even then, with so much time passed, he could have named a Special Counsel and put the whole investigation a year ahead of where we are now, with no concerns for an impending election.
I’m as happy as you that he finally woke up. Given the makeup of the post-Trump judiciary, many of whom would accept an argument that we are too close to 2024 to try the top candidate for the out-of-power party, I hope it wasn’t too late.
Thanks for posting this image every day and reminding us how long Garland sat on his hands. It’s an excellent reminder.
