I was talking to the CEO of a large company the other day. He told me that America’s real problem is the Biden Crime Family. Apparently Hunter Biden (an admitted drug addict who has had a rough time staying focused) is the greatest criminal since Jim Moriarty the world’s greatest consulting criminal. Under Hunter’s guidance they are completely untouchable. The same guy told me that he was convinced Joe Biden is simultaneously a brilliant political manipulator and a mentally challeneged baffoon.

It is occasionally brought up that the fake electors in MI needed to be physically inside the capitol, for their scheme to be legal. It’s in the MI rules, but not necessarily in other state’s rules on where the state’s electors have to meet.
What still baffles me is why any state party leader who has been around state party business wouldn’t know that what the Trump team wanted them to do was illegal. Was there a mass resignation of state party leaders when Trump took office in 2017? Or were they ousted by the Trumpers in the following years after the 2016 election?

I don’t expect that the appeal of that case is going to be interesting to much of anyone, (other than Mr. Trump, perhaps), while it goes on. There might be a hearing, and that might be news worthy, but for the most part the appeal will have less news value than paint drying. Even when the appeal eventually fails, it won’t create much of a ripple, because it will change nothing. Mr. Trump’s eloquence and genteel nature as discussed in that case, are already fully priced in.

I wish there were some way to put both Stone and Miller on trial - it’s obvious that El Chumpo Naranja doesn’t have the brains to have planned any of this.
I suspect both hoped for the establishment of an autocratic regime in which they pulled the strings of their puppet.
I suspect they (and others) are in thrall to Russia (and allies) in their quest to quash democratic societies worldwide.

Just stating the obvious here, probation in a plea deal for the classified docs and J6 cases would put Trump in a special category of protected privilege, compared to others who served time for similar crimes. It would undercut what Garland has stated publicly about no one being above the law.
Even if it were possible, Trump is incapable of admitting he did anything wrong. Everything he does is “perfect.” He’s going to be the most perfect convicted Felon at the end of all this.

But it will at least get headlines when things happen with it, that’s the point. So it’ll have several reminders over coming months. Had he not appealed, wouldn’t be a single story written about it from now until ever in the media.
Oh, totally agree. Just saying that if I were running his campaign, I’d be totally advising to put all of this behind us, get the best possible deal and move on. Stroking his ego by reminding him that getting back into office and getting ultimate revenge on all these people is the goal.

I think many militant Trumpers were saturated in a fake reality in which they believed that Trump would have the power to keep them safe, no matter the outcome.
And if Trump’s plan worked, they believed, wrongly, that Trump would reward them handsomely.
