Trump is the real Speaker of the House and keeping him happy is first and foremost not guarding the country’s secrets and keeping the country safe.

Per the politico article:

“The requests went out to Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, Florida Rep. Byron Donalds, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson”

So one woman. And god help the GOP if this what the bench looks like post Trump. They are a dead party walking right now.

That is the thing, I am starting to question if the woman exist at all, or is just a sock puppet of Leonard Leo.

This are the only other photos of her from Google.

Well, you know women. Flighty, emotional, undependable. Besides, none of them would sleep with him, and Stefanik – who he will say is “not his type” – went to Harvard. That’ll sting, even if she’s spent her adult life trying to play it down in public or lamenting how “woke” it is now (vs. when she was there in the manly days of the mid-'00s).

Those who drove supply trucks and worked in supply depots and built war supplies also served. I was touched and pleased to see that some of the surviving Rosie-the-Riveters were brought to Normandy for this year’s D-Day commemoration.

Yeah, I watched the full version with context, and it was still about blaming the Civl Rights movement for breaking up black families.

"Two former law enforcement officers who defended the U.S. Capitol from rioters during the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection were jeered by state GOP lawmakers as they visited Pennsylvania’s House of Representatives on Wednesday, according to several Democratic lawmakers present.

Former U.S. Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn and former sergeant Aquilino Gonell were introduced on the floor Wednesday as “heroes” by House Speaker Joanna McClinton (D) for having “bravely defended democracy in the United States Capitol against rioters and insurrection on Jan. 6.”

As the two men — both of whom were injured by rioters on Jan. 6 — were introduced, the House floor descended into chaos. According to Democratic lawmakers, several GOP lawmakers hissed and booed, with a number of Republicans walking out of the chamber in protest.

My uncle Dick was a Marine lieutenant at Peleliu. JASCO, but he landed in the first wave (he wasn’t among the signal corps people who stayed on a ship) and was wounded within a few days. It was the first time he saw battle (quite the initiation), but not the last. He was wounded again at Okinawa.

Did you know that Netanyahu was once an antisemite? From a speech he gave to the U.S. Senate in April 2002:

Rather than bomb Palestinian-populated cities and towns from the air – an operation that would have claimed thousands of civilian casualties – the Israeli army is taking on a much greater risk by using ground forces that painstakingly make their way through the hornet’s nest of Palestinian terror…seeking to minimize civilian casualties through careful and deliberate action.

D-Day trivia. Rommel ordered extensive construction of underwater beach obstacles on the assumption that the Allies would try to land at high tide. Some of these are visible in the photo, but they aren’t submerged. He didn’t know that landing craft have to go in just after low tide, so the rising water enables them to get back off the beach quickly.
