Hallelujah! I posted in another thread that over the years I have voted in 6 different polling locations in Louisville and N.KY. Never once, not one damn time have I waited more than a 1/2 hour. And that was 2008 in a liberal area where folks were chomping at the bit to vote for Obama.
In fact, I asked my 73 year old pops if he could ever remember having waited long. This is a man who has only ever missed primaries that were foregone conclusions and when he was traveling. He couldn’t think of a time where he had to wait 15 mins, let alone a half hour.
There was no fucking excuse, none, for KY Dems to stay home. The weather was perfect, and the party and the NAACP were giving free rides to and from. We have got to stop blaming candidates and making excuses. The problem is us.
