I went to bed early last night, missed the debate – but, if reading today’s headlines is anything, it sounds like the overjoyed Republicans sure do have low expectations.

If Trump were to drop out, the ticket would lose at least 15 points by his die-hard fans being crushed and not going to the polls. I think his cult of personality is drawing at least that amount (if not more).

They sure do. Pence is an extremist, homophobic, light-weight who even rethugs in Indiana don’t like. Tells you something right there. He’s anti abortion even in the cases of the life of the mother. For example, if a 13 year old child is impregnated via incest or raped, she** has** to have that baby. There is NO exception for abortion, even in cases of rape, life of the Mom etc. in the Rethuglican platform. Pretty sure that 13 year old would have to share custody of that baby with her rapist. How damn sick is that? He wants to do away with abortion PERIOD. Yep, a rapist who impregnates a little girl has rights. SMDH.
Too bad the moderator wasn’t worth a warm bucket of spit. She stank. Just siting there like a bump on a pickle asking dumb questions. I surely don’t look forward to the next 2 debates, where you have CNN and their moderators and Chris Wallace who said it’s not his job to fact check, and we could really use it because all tRump does is LIE and insult people. And tonight Pence who was dared to defend MANY of tRump’s worst insults couldn’t defend him. He just sat there saying no he didn’t say that and we know damn well tRump has said all the things Kaine said he said That moderator may have stunk, but there is TAPE video and audio of tRump saying the 7 horrible offensive things he said tRump said. Boy, I bet tRump is delusional enough to be mad that Pence didn’t defend him. But, he couldn’t because that clown tRump SAID all of the disgusting things Kaine said he said.
Pence couldn’t and wouldn’t defend tRump nor what he said tonight. Bet tRump doesn’t like that lolz.

I hope the Democrats and HRC’s strategy team are putting together ads that show Pence stating emphatically, “No, no, no, Trump did not say that,” juxtaposed with footage of Trump saying that.
Pence is the scariest of the RWNJs. Even as a gay man, their abortion stances scare me the most. They have such little regard for the life and liberties of at least half of our population. And Pence’s fucking statement about not needing to discuss police actions against minorities – jeezus, omg! What a hateful SOB. And, then, of course, there’s his stances on healthcare and his responses to the HIV epidemic in his own state. The needle exchanges. His stance on just the freedoms and liberties of us LGBTQ people. Amazing and very telling that many of the rightwingers creamed their pants last night over this sick fuck.

Can you just imagine the conversation between Trump and whoever was with him as they were watching this in real time – and then later … with Pence?? Unless Trump instructed Pence to be so obtuse and such a lying sack, Trump will probably come close to hitting Pence for not taking up for Trump more forcefully.
Not to mention the fact that I doubt there is any scenario under which the lunatic fringe that is the House of Representatives would vote for impeachment. No mater what happens in Trump v Clinton, we’re still gonna be stuck with those assholes.

Yes, Pence clearly won this debate as he came across the more mature adult (I was disappointed with Kaine’s demeanor, plus Kaine did a lot more interrupting). Considering Pence had to lie his ass off about Trump, he did well.
But that’s the VP debate. The clear mature adult in the Presidential race is Hillary. Trump is just a complete joker who comes across as a spoiled two year old. And he is the one running for President.

Yes, that how he lost. That strategy works against Trump, but not against Pence. Pence is pretty steady. His policies suck, but he keeps his cool and came across as much more of an adult than Kaine. I was very disappointed in Kaine’s behavior.
Pence is a religious extremist, a nutjob who appears to be totally normal - whereas Trump is just a incoherent nutjob who no one would ever mistake as normal.

I’m astounded at the level of Pence lust in the GOP commentariat right now. The bar was set so low, they cannot see that, without Trump’s spastic blather from last week as a reference point, the No. 2 man in the GOP is 100 percent back bench material. I think they’d vote to impeach Trump in a heartbeat to replace him with a “real” conservative. If Trump, GF, is elected, he needs to watch his back with his party in Congress.

Stating facts does not make me dizzy. Kaine clearly did a lot more interrupting and was at times childish with his whining. That does not mean he did not make legit points, of course he did. But part of winning a debate is doing it in a mature fashion. He clearly was trying to bait Pence as if Pence were Trump. It did not work, dumb strategy.
Pence and all the other GOP canidates say almost all the same shit as Trump, just slightly better worded. None of them had any workable tax plan that wouldn’t send the deficit even higher. They have the guy that said what the GOP stands for in plain English.
