My recollection is that the founder of Carl’s Jr., Carl Karcher, was a prominent member of the Orange County wingnut community.

I believe Trump is just doing this just to make liberals mad, which of course makes his fans happy. All this cabinet nominations are just designed to do that. I am a woman. I hate violence against women. That being said, I also realize that not all accusations are true and this happened many years ago. To be perfectly clear- if these things are true, it is appalling to me. However, I am actually a lot more interested in this persons policies, voting record, and public actions and a discussion of the persons political agenda and what the reporter thinks that would look like. After all, people in the US are innocent until proven guilty. We simply cannot expect to keep saying “but he abused his wife in 1950…” Surely there must be other issues, and more current issues, with this person.

I always hated those loathsome commercials that were nothing but porn scantily disguised as a hamburger commercial. I’ve never darkened the doors of a Carls Jr. even though they advertised some tasty looking milkshakes, etc.
