Agree. And more so than Trump because he speaks in complete, semi-literate sentences which he weaves into bizarre fantasies–as you correctly described. Being from the south, I’m a bit surprised Texans would be fooled by a shuckster like him. But then of course, the puppet masters are everywhere now.

The evangelicals are completely embracing him. This PIG is who they look at and see God’s choice. If I didn’t have contempt for their belief system before – I actually hate them all now in a very visceral way. They complain about anti-Christian bigotry – well, nothing will bring on the hatred more than inflicting the likes of Ted Cruz on us.

From where I am sitting, I do believe this is what we call a fumble.

Pick it up and run at him hard. I personally have been dying to see a campaign like this from the republicans…where they come out an literally say “We don’t want you to have the right to vote!”.

I could create an entire campaign centered on this one issue. So please, Hillary, drive this one home. If Cruz wants to be stupid enough to hang this around him neck…lets make him pay.

Nothing new here. i heard this decades ago when I was stationed in the south.
“They think they’re better ‘n’ us”.

Rural culture vs. urban goes back to the evolution of cities.

Couldn’t agree more - bread an circuses always worked best for the mob. Never very effective for the intelligentsia. If things get bad enough, a demagogue comes along who can whip things up and give disaffected thugs a sense of purpose - those are your paramilitaries. America’s geostrategic error has been in letting its education system fall into disarray.

I haven’t yet read the comments so maybe someone else already made this point, although I haven’t seen it in news articles. Hillary and Bill are from Arkansas. I hardly think they look down on southerners.

I live in Slovenia which has adopted many Serbian curses. One of the most common, and a favorite of mine translates as “I fuck your god!,” followed by “Fuck your mother!”. One of my wife’s favorites (and she very rarely swears) is “May a violet cunt grow on your nose!” The list goes on and on…

Awesome stats! If one tries to use lack of education as the main reason for the Teabaggers or Trumppers, we would quickly be dismissed as elitist liberals who don’t understand “real” Americans. Yeah, right…
