Because you’ve never been to rural Maine or upstate New York?
YEAH, if you call out my racism, you’re totally a bigot!
Cruz: We like to discriminate. We dont like non whites voting in the south. Why should Hillary make an issue of our right to be bigots. Its southern heritage.
CBlues
a lot of us think of you as a carpetbagging asshole Canadian-Cuban that flooded the South during Reconstruction willing to sell out anyone and everything in order to get elected…
why scarlett, i do believe you are right. ted would have made a mighty fine carpetbagger. nowadays he has to settle for self-serving, arrogant, egotiistical, whining crybaby. but, my, he does excel at it.
But if Cruz wins in Iowa Trump might have to go full-birther on him.
A standard tactic of racists is to accuse the opponents of their racism as being racists!
Cruz marks himself as the racist, supporting suppression of blacks’ voting.
“Look, I’m from Texas and Hillary Clinton is not a big fan of my state
either. We don’t need more politicians from Washington looking down on
us like fly-over country.”
…
No Ted, you are from Calgary, Canada. And do correct me if I am wrong but you are a politician from where? Washington, DC seeing as you are a United States Senator and all.
BTW Ted don’t talk to me about being a southerner. Where I live is well south of Dallas or Atlanta for that matter. And you consider a good half of the electorate as “fly over country”…
The Rovian strategy of accusing your opponent of your own faults… Like someone parroting whatever you say… How juvenile…
Ted sure does like to think he has this all sewn up, in spite of the fact that nationally tRump is still killing him. Cruz has a good shot at winning in Iowa due to having a very developed ground team but going forward he is still far, far behind the HAIR apparent. With an ego like Cruz it is only a matter of time before he loses his temper on camera and then people will see the man for what he is - pathetic.
Cruz’s view of the constitution is so limited that he would support Pleasy as well as take the country back to the Lochner era. Someone ought to ask him point blank if he thinks New Deal legislation as well as the Civil Rights as well as Voting Rights Acts are constitutional and not allow him to speak in some Rove, Luntz manner where you attack your opponents strength yet appeal to the lowest common denominator and play the victim.
The same back at you. See you at the movies.
Ain’t it so. Have a neighbor here (good old boy) in NC who went visiting relatives in upstate NY (first time to NY). He asked me what it was like (you know, Jews with horns kinda question). Told him it was just like here with a higher density of dumbass rednecks. He laughed but when he got back he was completely stupefied. Stopped by and couldn’t stop talking about it.
“Frankly, it’s a bigotry from the Democrats. They look down on the southern states like we’re a bunch of hicks. Look, I’m from Texas and …”
No, Rafael, you’re from Alberta.
Thanks for this. He had some skills obviously but seemed to let his thin skin get the better of him. Unlike HRC whose debate performances over the years were deemed to be nearly flawless. Maybe it’s male entitlement raising its head, how dare somebody doubt that what Cruz uttered was the only thought to hold on to and accept. Whereas many women have to win the same battle over and over again just to stay in place.
Frankly, it’s a bigotry from the Democrats. They look down on the southern states like we’re a bunch of hicks.
Well Krx if the shoe fits… and it is 100% bigotry not by Dims but by REPUGS. I was in elementary school in NC during the 50s and remember a cross burning in our front yard because my father had the nerve to teach a black man his dry cleaning business. I remember being stopped, more than once, by police because I was not in Sunday school or at church but rather riding my bike home from Catholic services which at the time was a big no no in many Southern communities. I now live in East TN and daily see the bigotry from my neighbors toward folks that are a shade or so darker than they are. OH they are fine with “those people” as long as they are providing subservient services, such as; landscaping, painting, etc… but heaven help if one of “those people” would be the boss or think they had a right to equal treatment.
Cruz: “. . . like we’re a bunch of hicks. . . . we’re just a bunch ignorant rubes.”
A remarkable level of introspection and self-assessment for Teddy!
Glory! (And remember: “Love the sinner, hate their clothes!”)
This truly creepy man, in all his creepiness, truly creeps me out. I’ve never been more afraid of another human being than I am of this guy. I just look at his face, and the fact that others do the same and see anything but evil personified just scares me. The only other person who has even come close to evoking the same feelings in me is the soulless Tin Man Cheney, and that’s frightening company.
This boy has backed himself into a corner from which no exit exists. He can’t return to the Senate because most of Congress despises him, for good reasons, after insulting McConnell and McCain publicly, for starters (“continuers”, actually). And, he’s a loser on the campaign circuit, still deluding himself, maybe has done that his entire life, it appears. So, after the campaign, where does Cruz go? He hasn’t considered that yet because he’s certain he’ll be the next president, apparently. I wonder if his wife will take him back at this point. He’s certainly insulted her to the max by now too. Does anyone want to sit next to him, converse with him, look at him? I don’t think so.
