Yes, we should all be grateful. I was satisfied to support the winner of the democratic primary whether it was Bernie or Hillary because, even though neither one gave me everything I want, I can see the destruction of our democracy with a Trump election. The fact is she legitimately won, he legitimately lost and now the obstruction and entitled behavior of many Sanders supporters is demanding that the majority vote should be disregarded. Principled beliefs are no comfort if Bernie supporters continue to demonize Hillary, don’t vote or vote for a third party and Trump wins the election. The results will be that my freedoms are taken away and I am forced to live in a dystopian world. I continue to suffer the consequences of a Nader run in 2000 and we all know the reality of the resulting Bush administration. I have no patience for those whose actions would bring us an even more catastrophic reality. I am not being paranoid but just facing reality.

THIS is what many of us warned about, Bernie, when we suggested maybe claiming the system was rigged, that you would overturn the will of the voters with Super Delegates, that you would fight to the convention was going to hurt the party.

The protests at the 1968 Democratic convention were not by “flower-power hippys”. They were violent confrontations with the Chicago PD, and Mayor Richard Daley was inside the convention hall as a powerful leader of the “war establishment” wing of the Democratic Party. And the Vietnam War was only a part of the pervasive violence wracking America at the time. Americans wanted change in a big way; George Wallace’s independent campaign and Nixon’s GOP provided the hope of change. Nixon won.
In 1972 Nixon won overwhelmingly; “flower power hippys” were passé.
