Discussion: Sanders Texts His Supporters To Not Protest On The DNC Floor

Thank you, Bernie. However, I doubt even you can get this genie back in the bottle.

(1) Sanders will figure prominently in the blame by historians if Trump wins

(2) It may not matter in a dystopian planet, with Trump as U.S. President

Finally! Now the question is, will they even listen to him anymore?

Edit: OK, I just watched Cory Booker’s speech, and everything is cool! Bernie Bros, I’ve got to admit, you had me scared, but things are OK now. Really!

Oh Jeez, they had to [sic] the text message. The will start a whole new round of angst and agita amongst his supporters.

Nope! Not a one!

… and, really Bernie, a text ?!?.. at this point, a 2x4 is called for…

Yeah, that is a common typo… Just fix it, don’t [sic] it

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

…and Sanders and his berniebros wonder why he didn’t win the Democratic Party nomination.

As much as I think they all deserve to be hit by 2 x 4s, we don’t want a repeat of 1968. That’s what everyone there (except the butt hurt Bernie bros) is trying to avoid.

Simple to deal with them, really. Revoke their floor passes. Let the protests be outside and away from the convention floor.

maybe

that’s a bit risky…

I doubt it. As others have noted, the Bernie supporters aren’t really his supporters. They aligned with him to band together for relevancy, much in the same way he ran as a Democrat to gain legitimacy. Now that they’re in, they owe him no loyalty and will continue to toss matches out of spite for a party that is too moderate for their tastes.

In a lot of ways it’s the Democratic version of the Trump supporters. The extreme wing of progressive movement has been marginalized by Democrats who took their vote for granted, and now that a candidate has run by actually saying what they think, they’re run amok.

That said, they’re are far fewer of them than the insane GOP base that propelled Trump to the nomination, so they’re a lot less likely to permanently damage the party. Meanwhile, those who aren’t onboard already with Bernie and Elizabeth Warren’s endorsement of Clinton, are probably lost causes. Hillary picked a more centrist VP to shore up the large block of moderate voters sure to be turned off by Trump, and she can afford to lose these left-fringe votes who were always more likely to vote Jill Stein anyway.

Agreed.

The MSM media/whores were on the job as always, trying to make Hill the “equivalent” of Trump, a demagogic racist fascist…but here’s the thing:

We are going to have to find a way to marginalize the MSM as much as possible. They are too good at what they do.

I don’t agree. Let’s stick to rules and ideals even when fave by petulant child like behavior.

Well, they’re heckling Elijah Cummings now. What a bunch of rude idiots.

It’s not fair to the other delegates who actually want to hear what the speakers are saying.

Sanders has been coddling these brats for too long. He needs to throw them under the bus tonight.

Terminate with extreme prejudice.

He could keep it in the bottle to begin with. But I agree that it is probably too late now.
