Discussion: Sanders Says Hillary's Emails Are 'A Very Serious Issue'

What desperate and disgusting looks like is having your attack dog tweet that “black lives don’t matter to Bernie Sanders.”

What this was, was Bernie being asked a specific question by a reporter, giving a very reasonable answer, TPM providing a click-bait headline backed by a partial quote, and some Hillary supporters going along for the ride.

Meanwhile, even as many media outlets ran with a similar angle, plenty of others ran with some version of “Sanders again declines to criticize Clinton on e-mails.”

In short, don’t believe the hype.

Gee Sen. Sanders sounds like a typical politician.

If I were Jerry Brown, I’d try to get the CA legislature to move the CA primary to The last Tuesday in January, just to fuck with these people.

Exactly what Hillary’s mafia has been saying all along. Hillary wants to be president, voters don’t matter,

The more I read what Hillary’s supporters have to say, the less I’m inclined to vote for her.

I spent 7 years in the intelligence community, working with and at NSA the entire time. I’m here to tell you that this is all a bogus load of crap.

I can absolutely assure everyone that there is some stuff that could be considered classified on HRC’s server… just as there is stuff that could be considered classified on the non-secure servers at CIA, DIA, DOD, AEC, DOS and the Pentagon. Welcome to the real world.

The issue isn’t whether or not some stuff go onto these unclassified servers (because it did), the question is 1st - was it intentional and 2nd was it common occurrence. There is no evidence that HRC was intentionally passing classified info on her server nor was what is there a common occurrence.

And for the record, it is nonsense that some of the stuff is classified higher than top secret. It probably relates to signal intelligence, photo intelligence or human intelligence, which is given a code word that further restricts access and/or dissemination to the information… it is still just Top Secret.

No one is asking/telling Sanders’ minions to protect Clinton. She doesn’t need your protection. What we want from Sanders is to acknowledge the non-story here. And by his saying that this is a serious issue, he just MADE IT AN ISSUE.

When. it. is not.

Shame on Bernie.

Well, Californians don’t get to cast primary votes that matter, but they do get to live there at least.

Lol Sorry, but because you were asked a shitty question doesn’t mean you have to give a stupid, irresponsible answer. You can defend him until your fingers bleed, but you can’t put this genie back in the bottle.

Let me get this straight. Sanders labeling Clinton & PP “establishment” is a major issue worth freaking out about but the use of a private email server which Clinton has already labeled a “mistake” is not worth talking about.

Good to know.

The only mistake I see here is that Sanders gave HRC a pass in the debate on this and, thus, deserves criticism for his pivot. If you honestly think HRC would have given Sanders a pass on something similar and would refuse to answer a direct question about it later, then I doubt you have paid much attention to how the Clintons behave.

You choose how to vote based on what supporters, rather than candidates, say?

Her box had top notch security. It was defended by Secret Service agents. It was not against the rules at the time, and was common practice. She is not under investigation, and no one but Republicans assert that she sent anything classified or even that anything that was sent to her by others that is now considered classified was at the time classified or even secret, e.g., newspaper articles.

Huge nothing-burger here.

No. The issue, at least so far, is that some of the documents that ended up on Hillary’s “home brew” server, documents which were not marked Top Secret at the time are now being classified, retroactively, as Top Secret. So, arguably somebody may have made a mistake by not marking the documents Top Secret at the time – but if this is as far as it goes, it doesn’t appear that is Hillary’s fault.

Now I have read, as I’m sure others have, that there are accusations that Hillary directed staff to remove classified labels from documents and send them to her on her private e-mail as a matter of convenience. But so far I am only seeing that interpretation on highly partisan, low credibility sites.

Yes, a vote for Hillary is a vote to empower her repulsive mafia, for whom a fair fight on the issues is not permitted.

I know, right? It’s almost like he’s acting like Hillary Clinton.

You know, I wanna see him attack her on her e-mails and then see her let loose on this (expletive deleted)'s ass as to what has happened with other SoS’s and what the facts are. I hope she reduces him to a pile of flustered jabber.

Since the main-stream media continues to push this e-mail thing, it will be an important issue.

Um. That’s exactly why you don’t have a private server. Because things can be retroactively determined to be classified.

Also, we do not know that is the case. That is what Hillary is saying. Not what the FBI has said.
