Discussion: Roy Moore's Neo-Confederate Sugar Daddy Has Deep Ties To Secessionists

These people live in all regions of the US, from Maine, OH, WI, MN, WI. CA, CO, IN, while some states are more blue than red, the roots of bigotry, run in all 50 states. The fight isn’t over territory, but ideas.

He should be arrested and executed for sedition.
It really is time to show christians what actual persecution looks like.
But first we have to take away their guns.
LOL

Good job, Cameron. Someone needs to say it, but when reporters do a good job on an important story readers should pat 'em on the back.

Before they run off to Politico or somewhere.

And they live all over the country, in every state, county and city.

This is not about the South.
This is about hatred and bigotry, which know no regional boundaries.

I’ll take Neil Young “Southern Man” over Lynyrd Skynyrd “Sweet Home Alabama” anytime.

I’m ready for secession. People like this have been a boat anchor on the ship of state for hundreds of years.

If not out right secession, maybe we should think about forming the US into something more like the EU, where we can have good trade relations and relatively open borders and have some degree of separation, so the yahoos can have their theocracy

It would be useful to know about Peroutka’s wealth. Wikipedia says he is an attorney, but doesn’t let us know if he scored big enough as a PI attorney to the extent where he could throw big dollars around. Perhaps his personal wealth, as well as the foundation set in his mother’s name, is a pass-through for nefarious Citizens United type donors. Or, given the likely effects of a Moore win on US politics, a pass-through for some of Vladimir’s rubles. Maybe the family owned an ante-bellum type plantation that sold for millions. Someone knows.

I suggest that you try it.
New experiences are good for you.

Can’t have New Orleans

Secessionists are traitors.

And Moore, who has sworn (or affirmed) more than once in his career to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States, is at the very least a perjurer.

The Dominionist label has also been applied to Kelly-Anne Conway and Steve Bannon (by the SPLC IIRC). Interesting…

Inclined to agree, but will reserve judgement until after the vote. Recent past suggests that a majority of the AL voters (along with a healthy chunk of them in TX) disagree with you. Hope you’re right, though.

If we had a very different President, I’d love it one of these days for he or she to call their bluff and say, “… go ahead. But, by the way, we will aggressively help those who don’t want to live in your hellhole to resettle elsewhere, we’re taking all our stuff back, e.g., from military bases. And then we’re going to build a wall and not trade with you. See how that works out for y’all.”

And he has been removed from the bench twice for not following the Constitution.

So if he wins, when he takes the oath, it’ll be meaningless. Thus, perhaps he shouldn’t be seated.

I am a Marylander, and I’ve heard this idiot’s radio broadcasts. I thought he was just another born again asshole. Looks like someone who will (like Moore) make Alabama and it’s knuckle draggers proud. Sad.

You assume that all they want is the old agrarian south, and return to slave labor. This while you watch them run for office in 50 states and have their kind in very seats of power in the Senate, House, and WH.
You frighten me as much as they do.

The DSCC is pathetic. I never contribute. Send contributions to Doug Jones’ campaign. The Democratic Party should field candidates in every contest. In this instance, with Roy Moore as the alternative, the decision to fund Jones should be easy. Even a loss that is closer than expected will encourage Democratic candidates to enter races in the future, knowing the party will stand with them, and give all of us hope for change.

I’d be willing to forgive their portion of the debt. It would be worth it to get these hateful assholes out of my country.

These guys decry people taking the knee during the national anthem but then call for secession, fly the treasonous confederate battle flag, and claim Old Dixie as their anthem? That’s Republican consistency for you.

“We’d have seceded if they hadn’t of locked up 51 members of the legislature.”
