When Trump goes down, and he will, it will not be his atrocious behavior or incompetence behind it. Piss poor legal advise will be behind his downfall. This woman was hired by him as a public servant not a corporate shill. he can’t shut her up and NDA’s don’t override transparency laws. Trump’s got Rudy mouthing all over the place making a fool of himself and his personal attorney trying to explain away a lie with “bad information”. Some other legal eagle told him to do this. Stupid.
The Defense’s closing argument tomorrow should be quite interesting. If they even bother.
hahahahaha O they will bother but yeah, it should be interesting.
Who would they call? No one’s going to lie for the clown now.
There is no way that (a) a NDA will impact her work on the public payroll - where she clearly was, and (b) would impact her after she left the employment of the “Trump for Putin” Campaign.
Also, I have no idea what they think they are doing filing for arbitration with the Arbitration Association. That Trump thinks he will get anywhere with this says more about how business feels impunity in the Arbitration system than it does about anything else.
An unnamed senior Trump campaign official quoted by ABC News and the Washington Examiner said in a statement: “… but wrong is wrong, and a direct violation of an agreement must be addressed and the violator must be held accountable.”
For instance, the violation of an agreement and oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and make sure that all laws are faithfully executed?
Ellis only planned 2 hours for each side - maybe they do it today?
As I understand it (not having read the book - and never will) much of the content involves Trump’s behavior in the White House. The campaign has no legal standing in preventing anything said about that. Furthermore, reports are that even volunteers were required to sign; given there was no “consideration” given to them in return for the NDA, that would make them unenforceable. As for and NDA signed as part of one’s hiring to work in the White House, again they would be unenforceable given that Trump is NOT the employer of them (the US people are) and there is nothing for Trump to enforce.
Since he has been wildly commenting about her for weeks, throwing outrageous comments and insults, that alone is likely to mean he cannot enforce an NDA against her that would prevent her from responding.
I am waiting to hear that Avanatti is representing her in the arbitration!
The tape she released today was made during the election campaign.
It’s me.
Yes, but at least he’ll still be alive when he gets out of prison.

*I’m assuming that wasn’t meant to be a prison rape joke.
Tierny said tomorrow.
You’re funny. His only hope of getting out alive is if he’s pardoned, or if his sentence is commuted.
Maybe.
There are Russia mafia in our prisons.
Sounds like window dressing since trump was told that NSAs for government employees arent enforceable but now files suit saying they are…
looks like the WH is assuming a guilty verdict in the manafort case…and that the trump campaign pay to play scheme is going to be revealed in the press…
Oh Rudi youre such a card…
Well if she was giving information from the campaign, that she was no longer employed by, but she was providing information from the WH not the Campaign. That NDA from the campaign is useless.
And maybe not …
like, maybe there are EXCEPTIONS,
like PUBLIC POLICY exceptions
for why
key provisions in the LEGENDARY
as in mythic
Trump Org NDAs
are void ab initio
in Trump admin Org world
But here’s the thing:
I smell a rat-
[now on Ted Cruz Control]
-a mighty copulating rodent
in this omigod omihowgrossua situation
almost like
omg:
‘someone’ is about to get
deliberately get publicly rolled
to COLLUDE in her own public rolling if you will
over her Trump World NDA
serving as a set-up
to game a precedent
to the greater embiggerment of DJ Trump.
If you could work in a line from “The Envoy”, it’d be perfection.
"Though no one on the call claimed to have heard the tape at the time (Manigault Newman has subsequently claimed to have heard it), Pierson is heard saying at one point on the call: ‘He said it. He is embarrassed.’ "
The Hill makes clear that it is not just a matter of one remark. While that is the most direct admission, there is an extended discussion on the topic in which the operating assumption is that Trump did use the n-word. I’m not sure why that isn’t the headline for TPM. When the truth is finally definitively confirmed it may not be a big deal for Trump’s racist followers but it will be for everyone else.
It’s eternal. Like Infrastructure Week. (BTW, this week’s t-shirt color is nationalist white.)
