That’s a really good point.
Cruz had a very detailed plan, based upon active shooter drills, knew how people would behave, timed it perfectly and camouflaged himself to fit in with the kids so he would be less identifiable.
If you know the teachers have guns, you’re gonna design your plan to mow them down first, before they have a chance to get the guns out of lock-up and get them loaded. Kill the teachers first, then kill the kids.
Hope the teachers unions start jumping on this point.

Arm the teachers? But how do you separate the ‘good’ teachers from the ‘bad’ teachers? Surely as day follows night, there will be at least one who slips through and performs their own mass murder.
We have a way to vet who is qualified to carry a loaded weapon to protect the citizenry-- It’s called “Police”.

Also remember that often times the shooter is a student, so they will have to be trained to be willing to kill a child.
