Discussion: Poll: Scott Walker Most Competitive Against Clinton

As well you should. The worst in fact because the most insidious.

But I bet 30% of the respondents would also say that Scott Walker is Luke Sky-walkerā€™s brother (half-brother anyway). I wouldnā€™t put a lot of stock in what polls say at this point.

And donā€™t forget is a poll taken while the media is obsessing about Hillaryā€™s emails and not saying boo about either Walker or Jeb all week.

And we all know polling this far out is always completely predictive of how the election will turn out. Just ask President Giuliani.

Thatā€™s intentional, donā€™t believe otherwise.

So Scott Walkerā€™s father is Dick Darth Cheney?

Democrat in the White House in 2016.

ā€œWisconsin Gov. Scott Walker Ā® is the most competitive in a
head-to-head matchup against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,ā€

Someone upstairs knows how to tease us here on Earth,LOL!

Ronnie was a born pitchman.

Walker is not

Both are teflon

Ronnieā€™s was personality

Walkerā€™s is MSM/FOX/Koch

There is no way that Walker has the least bit of qualifications to be a national Chief Executive. Winning over geriatric Wisconsinites hellbent on undoing the Social Contract which saved their parents is a different thing than REPRESENTING and ACTING ON BEHALF OF the United States of America.

You know the Clintons have a reason to be cautious. They have been hounded by the media for decades. I think Hillary Clinton must be very strong and tough to face what she has over the years. You know I was for President Obama in 2008, and did not care for Hillary, but being SOS and putting in her time I 100 percent support her now. If Colin Powell and Condi Rice was treated like she has been over private email the republicans would have had a heart attack.

Probably ā€œhalf brotherā€ 1961 LOL! Made my day.

In late 2013, then flavor-of-the-month Christie was AHEAD of Hillary in polls. That worked out great for him, didnā€™t it?

Sure, he may be most competitive and that qualifies him as first loser. Heā€™s supposedly 4 points behind right now, which Iā€™m sure heā€™s thrilled about, but a 4 point loss in the general election is major landslide win according to Walkerā€™s own tribe. So heā€™s buried right now at the height of his popularity when heā€™s receiving the same support that Romney got, the guaranteed 45%, which still even would lose to 47%, funny that.

I donā€™t know, and havenā€™t seen anyone else offer, an explanation for that.

Expat Cheesehead here. My sense of it is that it is fundamentally what Josh Marshall so eloquently calls ā€œwhite identity politicsā€ ā€“ the same glue that binds together the GOP coalition nationally. Those nice socially-liberal suburban ā€œmoderatesā€ are so angry/uneasy over the fact of a black president and erosion of their privilege that theyā€™re happy to vote with the tea party if it shoves a stick in the eye of the multiracial party. What weā€™re seeing, in other words, is the Southern Strategy playing in the anxious suburbs and crumbling industrial towns of the north.

Iā€™m not so worried about Walker, though. Heā€™s not ready for prime time, and Hillary should be able to pull some of those racially-anxious but socially-moderate voters back. Holding on to them was, after all, what her entire 2008 campaign was all about. FSM help us if Iā€™m wrong, of course.

I read a piece yesterday the presented the notion that this week marked the change over from attacking Obama to attacking Hillary for the GOP/media. It will be interesting to see how accurate that theory is going forward.

Whether or not its true, my guess is that for most of the campaign, we are going to see very few articles favorable to Hillary, lots very negative of her, and Walker being treated with kid gloves throughout. They seem to be locking into a meme regarding him already.

Most competitive? Thatā€™s not saying much. The only poll that matters is the election. Lets us wait for a debate and watch Clinton commit surgery w/o anesthesia. Iā€™m not saying Iā€™m a Hillary supporter, just that Walker is out of his league.

Heā€™s got the ā€œWā€ gene.

(but I still think JEB takes it.)

Maybe, but Darth could be the father on the ā€œSkyā€ side.

Walker must be getting the same amount of the Latino vote as Bush. Everyone keeps saying that Bush having a Mexican wife and being catholic will win him 40 percent of the Latino vote. His brother only got 35 percent of the Latino vote and that was when Latinos had a better opinion of republicans. Even though Jeb Bush acts like he cares about immigrants he still said he would repeal President Obamaā€™s executive order. I donā€™t see how any Latino can trust any republican with the republican party controlling congress. Jeb Bush will not do anything for Latinos when the republican party hates immigration reform.

Something he wonā€™t talk about is evolution, or the $283 million deficit WI is looking at because of his tax cuts. Thatā€™s only part of the debt Walker has created in WI, and somebody will gleefully talk about it, just not the governorā€¦
