Poor Pence. Heās too decent a guy to approve of Trump, but heās caught as the VP candidate. He must be now know he made a bad mistake by agreeing to run as Trumpās running mate.

Letās get down to basics here. What Trump said on the tape as legal evidence is a spontaneous, voluntary confession of predatory sexual behavior and sexual assault, period. (Paraphrasing) āI canāt help myself. When I see a beautiful woman I just have to kiss her. And I can get away with it because Iām famous.ā
Now, maybe he never actually just grab a woman by her genitals on greeting, but thatās an exaggerated statement to describe how he can get very aggressive without a womanās consent. Thatās the way every unbiased juror in a trial would see it and defendant are convicted based primarily on exactly these kinds of confessions. Also, defendant can try but rarely will such confessions be excluded from a trial based on any later explanation a defendant might give to back away from it.
So when women come forward and describe exactly that kind of behavior, and can provide enough basics to make a plausible allegation, Trumpās only defense would be that the specific accuser made up the allegations but he did do what he said to other women. Not a particularly strong defense.
Also, the ātheyāre just out to get meā defense is not particularly strong since Trump confessed to the behavior. There were already standing allegations which predate the confession, so the moral is donāt confess to (actually brag about) something youāre already accused of doing if you want people to think youāre innocent. And letās not forget that heās bragged about walking into the pageant dressing rooms to check out the naked women because he can. Thereās no ducking those allegations.
The guyās a scuzbag and itās shocking that so many people are going to vote for him anyway. The GOP can NEVER AGAIN claim that character matters.

This just is further proof of how inept this campaign is. They are keeping the story alive. A more seasoned politician would move on to other issues and try to reframe the discussion. A more intelligent human being would recognize that it is actually impossible to prove a negative and wouldnāt waste the last few weeks of a dying campaign trying to do so.
Aside from the sleaze factor of going after the victims, this really demonstrates what a bunch of morons these guys are.

Actually that gives me an idea. Maybe they are going to show photos of women Trump was dating, to show that the alleged victims didnāt meet his standards.

I can understand now why Indiana finds this guy so lame and totally objectionable. Had he gone for reelection as Governor he would have failed miserably. Now heās stuck and on his way to losing in the general election as a running mate for the great Orange Pumpkinhead. Great move, Gov.

This āevidenceā is going to take the form of the famous ācounterpunchingā strategy of the Trump arsenal, namely an all-out smear campaign designed to intimidate any other complainers, while discrediting those who have already come forward. Furthermore, it may be that I am simply old-fashioned, but I always learned that it was impossible to prove a negative, Oh, what the hell, this campaign is nothing more than a circus anyway, so I guess I should just sit back and watch the aerialists swoop and hit the ground.

Thereās a meme circulating that Mike Pence always looks like heās about to introduce legislation to have the X-Men arrested and sent to prison. In accordance with that idea, I hope Pence will argue that it was actually a shapeshifting mutant like Mystique who molested those women. Or maybe it never happened and Professor Xavier is just using his powers to make everybody think it did.
