Discussion: Obama Takes Hit For Not Visiting Flooded Louisiana, But Gov Tells Him To Wait

Oh, no ! So Obama will lose in this election ? Sad !

Maybe Obama should simply fly over the flooded area in Air Force One, and look down on plight of the peons below, without having to land.

Oh wait. Scratch that idea!

Oh please, he’s doing what the governor asked him to do.

He WAS asked that on PBS Newshour last night and he had no anger towards the government’s response to this. Mostly, he seemed to emphasize that residents are banding together to help one another as best they could and that they were relying heavily on outside groups to donate their time and efforts

When it looked like it was bearing down on the area?

Republicans spend more time on phony investigations and manufacturing faux outrage than working on the business of the people.

I think this situation also shows the extent to which W’s maladministration utted the Federal government. The current Admin. is doing what they’re supposed to do. Period. There’s no need for POTUS to go everywhere when procedures are under control and operating as they should.

“And then you get Drump diddleshitting around in disaster areas that no one asked him to visit.”

Not only did they not invite him they asked him to not come at all unless it was to volunteer or leave a substantial donation to help people recover. I guess we all know Trump will do what ever he wants to do because he is Trump.

The President himself doesn’t do anything anyway. It’s all about him authorizing federal help and he’s done that. Plus he made changes to FEMA when he took office to try and fix some of the shit Bush did to it and it seemed to have helped in NJ with their issues(where’s Christie now is he still with Trump?)

And so I stuck it to the plumber that screwed me over. Not one red cent. And him telling me not to use gold faucets. No wonder his business crashed and burned. Sad!

Why are Republicans complaining about Obama’s failure to visit Louisiana? After all, most of them believe that he was responsible for the government’s botched response to Hurricane Katrina. You’d think they’d want him to stay away.

Free passes for his Scottish golf course…

hell yeah that’s the good stuff right there! LOL

Bullshit. Law enforcement staff would have to be diverted from search and rescue missions to areas flooding from backwater flow. Highways used to bring in supplies would have to be closed. How is a presidential visit now a good idea?

Louisiana’s governor asked Obama to stay away for security reasons. If Obama went anyway, the lizard brained Republicans would whine about how he was putting people’s lives at risk to satisfy his morbid curiosity.

Rumpublicans are literally offended by a President who governs well. He listened, discerned what needs doing, set priorities, and achieved the best result he could within his limited power.

And the GOP can’t stand it. It drives them nuts when the government does anything right.

“but not for a photo-op."

If not for a photo-op, then what? Do you think he’s going to pick up a shovel?

Your post is the equivalent of a flaming bag of dog doody on a doorstep. Especially because you can’t even get the basic facts about Louisiana straight…and that’s coming from a Canadian.

Pro-Tip: cancel your cable provider and internet, and go buy a history book.
