Discussion: Obama Boosts Clinton: She Has 'More Experience' Than Non-VP Candidate Ever

The Prez was on the money it seems to me. The facts are the facts and can’t really be denied, emotions and personal preference are a whole other kettle-o-fish.

If Bernie loses, it’s not like his activism will die or the energy if it’s all real. See one Elizabeth Warren who works wonders from her perch and steadfastly stayed away from the Presidential campaign.

Obama has a perspective that can only come from having been President, based on that he gives his opinions of who and what would work best. No one that hasn’t been President can say that he’s wrong and know for sure that they themselves are right.

Please. He said good things about both candidates and he pointed out weaknesses in both candidates.

But to you Sanders supporters,is someone doesn’t bow down and kiss the ground he walks on while offering up a litany of platitudes about his greatness…he is being criticized.

If you want your guy to win the nomination…you seriously need to start growing some thicker skin. Because that interview is NOTHING compared to what will be coming your way.

You sent me to the Google machine to find the Sullivan rant. Talk of “retail skills”, “a good TV speech”, and a positive TV persona add up to unhinged.

I presume he meant Candidate… in this his observation was apt.

Kerry the politician, leaves a bit to be desired.

Kerry the diplomat, is very successful. This is logical as diplomacy is a quieter game, generally amongst adults actually looking to solve problems.

This is an area I see similarity between Kerry and Clinton.

"When Should Clinton Start To Panic About The Sanders Insurgency?"

Uhm, not any time soon, I gather.

Well, since I voted for every Dem nominee since the 80’s, I don’t think I’m “grappling” with much here.

Since you are wondering, I think HRC will be the nominee. I think she is absolutely electable but will have a very challenging election (as will any Dem). I think she is by far the preferred candidate over any of the Republicans (tbh, a well-visited fire hydrant is preferable to any of the R’s). I think she will win barring some further revelation that turns one of her faux scandals into a real scandal. I do not anticipate a real scandal erupting. That said, it’s the Clintons, so a real scandal is always a possibility.

ETA: btw, I think Sullivan is a sanctimonious twit.

How would staying home be the same as giving my vote to Trump? That makes no sense at all.

OK then. Its not unreasonable to be skeptical of her – but weighing the alternatives, you’ve made the only rational decision you could with your vote.

Wow. Auditioning for writing for right wing site after the election? Because that denying while repeatedly saying its true thing, you have down.

What are you talking about? I didn’t say anything about national democratic nominee polls.

Yep. And where a scandal doesn’t exist, one will be invented. Its inevitable.

Ummmm, what happened when Dems stayed home in 2010 & 2014?

Enjoying your Kool Aid?

I’d say don’t forget the people who ALWAYS show up to vote, whether they’re “excited” or not, and don’t pout and stay home because their candidate lacks their brand of “purity”! I’d say base your election on someone other than those who forgot to vote in 2010, and 2014 because they weren’t excited after the initial high wore off and were waiting to FEEL something again!

True, and I still think many of the GOP candidates and Sanders benefit greatly in national polling because the overwhelming majority of Americans know very little about them or their policies. On the other hand, everybody knows the Clinton name and has an opinion. The same was probably true of Obama vs. Romney who probably looked good to a lot of people before they knew anything about his policies. The “socialist” label is going to be a big problem as well as Bernie’s age, style, and demeanor. He could probably win, but I envision very short coattails and that’s a huge problem.

I don’t want Sanders to be president. Why would I vote for someone that I don’t want to be president?

Nice try. Thanks for playing.

President Obama can be seem indirect, because he produces fully formed, complex sentences rather than short “I think Hillary has the better approach”. This is one of those instances, and I don’t think it has anything to do with how engaged I am with the process or whether I comment on political sites.

“everybody knows the Clinton”…

I love this. The entity known as “the Clinton”…Snicker.

Because of course, allowing the GOP the presidency would be much, much worse. Unless you are a republican (and even then) you will have to address the consequences if you sit it out.

LOL. Based on what I referred to in your post…it seems pretty clear you are the one playing.

Now, next practice on working on “some people are saying”. They really love when you make your non assertive assertions behind that phrase.
