The point would be moot. If they were already on top of you drawing a gun would probably be the last thing on your mind. Just saying. And yes, people who can see will miss a fair bit of the time. People who cannot see, will the vast majority.

Add to that, there are people with anger management issues that are blind. They very well could do it. Fire at one person and hit others. It is just as hypothetically possible.

I think the NRA should prove their point 
 Put Wayne LaPierre in a room with 45 blind teabaggers armed with uzis and howitzers, scream “It’s an Islamic Terrorist” and then close the door to the inevitable carnage (and that would be 46 less ingrates on the planet).

If they aren’t deliberately pushing the Overton window toward the crazy end of the spectrum, to make all the stuff they really want seem normal by comparison, then I have to wonder what other rationale there can be to make this argument. It’s self-parody otherwise.
