Even if they are trying to ‘lay a perjury trap’ if you tell the TRUTH there is no perjury - i.e. if you have nothing to hide you can’t commit perjury since you have been telling the truth the whole time.

Manifort knows he lied, Mueller knows damned well that he lied. I don’t need an expert to tell me that he obviously lied. If Less-than-a-man-afort and his lawyers think they can play Muellers team, they are only fooling Manifort.

The Onion tries to get out in front of the “truth becoming stranger than fiction” cycle:

indeed meet on occasion to discuss how collusion was a bad thing they

they ever talked about was how much they hate collusion and anyone who

Manafort and Assange had assured him their meetings in London’s
Ecuadorean embassy had been called for the sole purpose of outlining all

why it was illegal and immoral to do so. “I firmly believe this was
nothing more than two good, honest men clarifying to each other how
disgraceful it would be to coordinate their efforts to tamper with an
election, because that sort of behavior is clearly wrong. They may also
have spoken of how completely disgusted they would be if someone were to
obtain the emails of an opponent’s political campaign and then publish
them. But that’s it. The conversations stopped there.” Trump added that
several other members of his campaign staff may have held meetings to
iron out the details of their own firm anti-collusion stances, including
his son Donald Trump Jr.

Let’s put it this way—I’m not a lawyer and you should consult with a lawyer yourself before making any decisions but as far as I know it’s illegal to threaten a chief executive of a certain country between Canada and Mexico but it’s not illegal to wish that person ill. So as long as it’s in the fantasy realm, knock yourself out.

And … looks like Mueller simultaneously rope-a-doped both Manafort and Trump. Knew that Manafort’s lawyers were blabbing to Trump lawyers, so waited until Dotard turned in his answers until dropping the hammer. Thought you had your testimony perfectly synced with Manafort, didn’t you Crime Boss? Oops, that’s not such a good thing for you after all.
