In order to let everyone have time to speak about how great this bill is, the state failed yet again to make Missouri the 50th state to have a prescription drug monitoring system. That’s right, we’re the only state that doesn’t have it and (no surprise) we’re losing people to opioid abuse deaths same as everyone else. Creating the monitoring system is proposed in the House each year by a Republican member and the House passes it each year. The Senate lets it die, along with opioid abusers.
Yes, you get the kind of government you deserve, but not all of us deserve this kind of government.

I’m sitting here in St. Louis, which has Missouri’s only remaining abortion clinic as it is (at Planned Parenthood), due to the already draconian requirements on clinics the Missouri legislature had already imposed.
There’s a group of anti-choice zealots who sit and stand and walk with their signs and fetus pictures outside PP every day. I bet they’re having a party today.
