Heh. Y’know, when he does that pouty-lip thing, he does kind of look like Il Duce. But, with bad hair.

I’ve been secretly wanting someone at one of Trump’s town meetings to complain about poor commuter service and then ask Trump if he’ll make the trains run on time if he’s elected, just to see if he’s sharp enough to get it, or if he’ll start yammering about “getting the right people on it” and getting the trains running on-time.

And that was precisely the issue in the run-up to Hitler’s power. Everyone thought someone else was taking care of the problem.

Lesson learned: don’t expect someone to do your work for you - get out there and vote.

Not only did he say he’s intentionally trolling liberals by invoking Hilter, he implicitly let us know that he doesn’t expect right-wingers to get upset by invoking Hitler.

I’m not surprised that there are people who believe a Hitler could rise here. What surprises me is that these people think such a person would rise from the left.

No, no, no! We want little Bennie to keep using the Hitler analogy. Darn, he needs to use it more, like maybe in every other speech. Or, every other sentence.

“That’s the ticket Ben, keep up the good work” -per Hillary’s campaign staff!

Yes , it could happen here and it would begin with assholes like Carson,Cruz,Rubio et al…

Isn’t always wanting more money for the military at odds with the citizens putting down tyranny?

I have spent over 4 decades studying the Nazis and WW2.My specialty research is all things WW2 Eastern FRont.
Carson is always throwing out the Hitler line.He also will try to make the Nazi Party look like it was a far left or liberal or made up of liberals movement.Which you might see other conservatives do.
Anyone who knows real History knows this is not true and is a falsehood as in right wing propaganda.
The Conservatives may also throw in a line on Welfare given out by the Nazis or Welfare Policies in WW2 or Pre-WW2 Germany.
This is also a form of propaganda the right wing uses.
If you want to label the Nazis as to whether they were far right or far left the answer is they were far right extremists.Far Right Extremists were the founders of the Nazi Party. And they used much propaganda to sell their ideas to the citizens of Germany. Two examples of how they could come to power would be as follows:
1.Fear of Communism
2.Aftermath of WW1

I put fear of communism on top as it was a great motivator for the Nazis.Sucked in a lot of regular German Conservatives who had great fear of life under the Communists.
I would advise you to read more if you want to learn all about the formation of, policies of, what type of movement was NAZIS.

Hey, Ben! How are those ‘Occupy Wall Street’, ‘Black Lives Matter’ movements working for you? Not loud enough?

thats an emphatic NO!!!

I guess gays are the equivalent of Hitler. Kind of ironic, since Hitler sent scores of gays to their deaths in concentration camps.

Ben Carson Tells Whoopi That Hitler Really Could Happen Here: I really believe that, and he would come from the Republican/Tea Party.

Does Dr. Carson not realize that his very appearance on a national TV show is proof that the fear that people had in Germany in the 1930s of the Nazi’s doesn’t exist here? Who is telling people they can’t speak out? I assume he believes that Kim Davis should be allowed to speak ou; and she is free to say whatever she wants. She just can’t refuse to do her job and still get paid for it.

But they drew upon local Nazified populations to staff up there camps so as to reduce any chance of Wehrmacht involvement.
