If trump fired Mueller it would be public admission of guilt and also a public and flagrant obstruction of justice which would be impossible to deny (but he would try anyway) and there would be an epic hue and cry such as we have not seen since the Watergate days. Even GOPers would be forced to admit that Articles of Impeachment should be taken up.

Before getting too excited about Gowdy, please read what the Hill reported he said today:

I wish the Democrats would help a little bit more instead of reading the Moscow phone book during the witnesses interviews trying to see if Jared Kushner knows a guy named Igor. I wish theyād help

Republicans know they should remove Trump but are afraid of his base. Letting Mueller do the heavy lifting gives them a bit of an out and Tres Gaudy knows it.
